  1. If you don't already have an Aftec installed, then go get one.... If you do have one installed, it may help to remove one of the springs (the one closest to the brass)... Had a similar problem with one of my open guns and a Aftec cured the problems.
  2. Change powder to N350 or 3N37 or 3N38 most common powders for Major depending of your cal.
  3. No I haven't, it was displayed at the German IWA show. A friend of mine took the picture of it.
  4. They have made a new version of their open guns :
  5. I swage all my brass with S&B and FNB head stamp, the only ones I toss is DAG stamped because the boxer igniter hole is smaller the others. So if you have a lot of S&B brass, then I would suggest that you get a Super Swage 600 from Dillon or an equal tool.
  6. Hi. Hornady has them, but haven't tried it yet.... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/156804/hornady-custom-grade-new-dimension-taper-crimp-seater-die-9mm-luger-9x21mm Michael.
  7. Well the problem came when I changed from a .355 to a .356 bullet From what it looks like, the rings are coming from the bullets. In my old open gun they could turn up in anything from 1 to 250 shoot.. In the new one, I shot about 10 to 15 rounds and got 3 of them but they weren't completely round more like a half moon shape. And they don't seems to be building up in the chamber. Within a few days I'm testing some Frontier .355 bullets that I have been using before without any issues. Michael.
  8. Now I have tried the same load in my new gun from Freedom gunworks and it make more of those rings than my old gun I think that I'm going back to .355 Frontier bullets....
  9. Maybe you are right, but the ring just seems so solid and not something that has been build up over time.. I don't think that I will be that bored but still a good suggestion will consider it anyway Michael.
  10. There are several people here in Denmark that are using plated bullets for 9Major without issues, I got my issues when I changed from a .355 to a .356 both copper plated bullets. Michael.
  11. Around 250-300 shoots the second time with my 9Major ammo. Did over 800 shoots with minor ammo without any issue. We have also talked about the barrel throat down in the club that isn't large enough for .356 bullets. Will be getting a new Open gun with a Schuemann barrel in it within a few weeks, hopefully it won't have any problems with them. Otherwise I'll be switching back to Frontier bullets. Michael.
  12. The first picture is just showing them together, picture 3 is how I found it. The COAL is close to 1.140 or 29.00mm and does not change when it has been chambered and no visible rifling marks. But had some feed problem when I used a longer COAL. There is an ring around the bullet but it hasn't cut through the copper unfortunately I don't have the bullet or an Kinetic Puller here at home some I can't post a picture of it. It may not need to be cut completely through. If you score it and with the force of firing it, would sheer a section off. I'd try adjusting your crimp to just remove the bell and no ring on the bullet if you are able to. As long as you can drop a round in the chamber, you'll be fine. But then again, it may not make any difference. All you can do is try it and start eliminating possibilities. On a second note.. searching on other threads here - there was another person who had similar problems. You might check this thread out. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9580&hl=%2Bcopper+%2Bring+%2Bchamber#entry110724 I'll try to adjust the crimp and hope for the best. Going to the EHC2013 in september Have also read that thread but got the impression that it wasn't a solid ring problem they had... Michael.
  13. There is enough bell on the case might even be too much. so it should not be shaving the bullet. There is an ring around the bullet but it hasn't cut through the copper unfortunately I don't have the bullet or an Kinetic Puller here at home so I can't post a picture of it.
  14. This is the second time I have found a Copper ring in the Chamber can somebody explain me how it occurs and to get rid off it. ?? Didn't have this problem while I was shooting with Frontier 124gr .355 bullets, but this a 123gr .356 Copper Plated just like Frontier. Had a failure to fire and it was ejected like this : Regards Michael
  15. Hi there, there is already an email option built-in but it will only take one session at the time... Regards Michael.
  16. Please do that! Every time I drag the sidebar, I also accidentally move one of the sliders in the preferences. You can also tap on the blue bar to open/close it. Michael.
  17. It probably would be best. It took me a bit to figure out that it was to the side rather than the traditional spot. On another note. It still is not working indoors. 8 shots = 24 entries. That is with both entries at Max. Ohhh well. Thanks for dealing with the headaches. Ray Okay Ray, note that this is a alpha version with some code changes, it will still show values from 0-800 in settings but in real life the value is max 8000 so 1 is 100 and so on. Michael. 18. I'am thinking about moving away from the "blue sidebar" and using "normal" Preference as everybody else does.... Michael.
  19. Hi, could you try this one using the sdk way ? and what anderoid version are you running ? Michael. Open Shot Timer.zip
  20. Do you think that will do it. Or would it be detection threshold? Thanks so much for working on this app. I hope it will, the threshold is already at max without code changes. Michael.
