  1. I had a blast at the match today. Thanks to Dean and the staff for their hard work.
  2. I've always opened the safe and decided on the gun that was talking to me that day. I like the variety of manipulating different guns in the IDPA game.
  3. Just saw this thread. Haha, that's awesome. Reminds me of something my wife would say too.
  4. I'm not a cheap guy, and I help at matches when I can. I travel to matches and classes, and it is expensive. It is expensive to run a top tier match. However, in my opinion, $175 for the IDPA S&W Nationals is expensive. I've been competing at that match since their first one. $150 for a BUG Match is ridiculous. S&W is entitled to profit, but they'll see a decline in participation as they keep raising the entry fee. Despite the increased fee this year, they had no problem filling this match.
  5. I have 4 of these installed, and they have been flawless. I just bought one for my LWRC REPR and will drop it in in the next day or two.
  6. We just found out that our 3rd guy has to have emergency surgery tomorrow. If your buddy is still available, we'd love to have him with us. Email me: dns0405@yahoo.com I just noticed that FNFAN2 was banned from the forum after my post regarding his friend needing a slot on a team. If anyone knows him, could you forward my email address to him please? Thanks.

  8. This is so tragic, and my prayers go out to his family. He'll be missed.
  9. kurtm, do you find the FFP better for 3 Gun matches? What are your thoughts?
  10. Great match once again! We drove 9 hours to participate, and it was worth it. Big thanks to Dean, staff, our SO's (who were 2nd overall) and to the sponsors.
  11. Thanks Dean and staff for a well run match. My teammates and I had a great time.
  12. Thanks for the feedback! I'm going to head to the range tomorrow. I can't wait.
  13. Thank you for the feedback. 250 yards is the furthest distance around here presently, but most of the targets are 75 yards and closer. The vast majority are 50 yards and in.
  14. Hi Group, I searched here and via the internet but didn't find what I was looking for. If this has been posted previously, but I overlooked it somehow, I would appreciate the link. I just purchased a Trijicon TR24 with Green Triangle Reticle and am unsure of the best zero distance for 3 Gun/Multi Gun. I normally use an Aimpoint T1, zeroed at 50 yards, but this is my first magnified scope. It is mounted on a 16" AR-15 and currently shooting 55 gr. 5.56 mm. In my area, the longest distance is about 250 yards, but I would like to stretch it out next year at bigger matches. I'd appreciate any help and opinions. Thanks!
  15. There are some great carts in this thread. I've attached a pic of a baby stroller that my mother-in-law was going to throw out this weekend. Do you think this has potential for a 3 Gun Cart? Suggestions and opinions are very welcome.
  16. Thanks to Dean and the rest of the staff for putting on a great match. My team had a 6 hour ride, but it was worth it. This was our first time attending, and we will be back. Although it was a very long day, I had a blast!
  17. Nice run, your reloads seemed fast. I just picked up an FN and will be using it in my second 3 Gun match (yes, 3 Gun noobie). For first match, I used a Rem. 870. Thanks for posting your video.
  18. I went with Jeff at C-Rums for my FN SLP MKI. I shipped it to him this morning. Thanks for everyone's input.
  19. Thanks for the quick responses. I'll check them out.
  20. Hi Group, I've used the search engine but could find exactly what I was looking for. I'm wondering which Gunsmiths you would recommend for mods to the FN MKI SLP. Does anyone specialize in the FN? I'm figuring opening the loading port, shell lift mod, etc. I'm open to suggestions also. Thanks in advance.
  21. I'd keep what you have if it isn't causing you any problems. I have a S&W 340PD with a lock (only choice at the time), but I have never engaged the safety. It's been flawless for me, and I carry it as a back-up daily.
  22. Wow, thank you for the great posts! I really appreciate it. For a two-hand hold, is it recommended to wrap your right thumb over your left? Or thumbs on the same side like a pistol?
  23. Thank you for the replies with the great info. Please keep it coming. In the meantime, I'll continue reading and researching.
