Hey guys, the 3 mags that the Shadow Custom comes with are 19 rounders? If so, is this what I'll want to get? http://www.cdnninvestments.com/cz9mm19seanm.html That looks like it already had the rubber/plastic boot at the bottom which the ones that come with the Shadow also have?
  2. Hey gang, thanks for your thoughts. I was planning on getting into the production division in USPSA. Yeah, while the double mag pouches are cheaper, I guess it'd be smart to just pony up for the singles, just to be safe. Nice thing about the CR Speeds is that they are adjustable, so I'm hoping these can be used in a number of different games with different equipment. As far as numbers, is 4 a good starting point? Should I aim for a total of 5 mags - 1 in the gun and 4 extras?
  3. Getting ready to start buying some stuff to get into the sport. I believe I've decided on the CR Speed belt and mag pouches. Does it matter either way if you get 4 singles or 2 double pouches? Thanks!
  4. Benny, are you under an NDA with Mossberg for the prototype? Can you even comment on that?
  5. I'm in the same boat, biker. If someone told me the Moss version would be out in a month or two, I might wait. I just know how these things go and I don't want to be here in June/July with still no word and no 930 in hand. I'd honestly prefer to have their version as opposed to working the barrel and receiver, etc. I wish Moss could communicate their plans.
  6. I'm thinking about just buying a regular 930, too, and buying the new barrel and selling the one that comes with it. Is there any particular barrel that might be worth more or easier to sell separately? If there's 2 models of 930 with different barrels for roughly the same cost, i guess I'd like to chose the one that would sell for the most.
  7. Yeah, its probably not a huge deal, but if you had the choice of 2 holsters, fairly similar except the fact that one marked and one did not, which one would you chose?
  8. Thanks for the clarification. When you said "new Bladetech" I didn't think you were talking about the DOH, but I just wanted to confirm as this is what (I think) I've decided on.
  9. Are you saying the Bladetech DOH is not USPSA production legal? Also, how big of a deal is the suede lining in the Double Alpha holster? I like the idea of something that doesn't mark up the finish on the firearm. I actually emailed Bladetech today to ask if anything "softer" was available for the DOH and I got a reply that no, it isn't, and in fact the regular material is very soft and won't do any damage to the gun what so ever.
  10. Hi Edna, are you able to comment on a possible release date or on the specs for 100% Mossberg model that many seem to be waiting for?
  11. Red_SC, I'm in the same boat. I contacted Mossberg customer service and of course they know nothing about it. Offered to send me a catalog.
  12. Hey guys, I was getting ready to get a Shadow Custom, too, for my intro into USPSA production. I had thought the "stock" Shadow was about as good as it gets, but this thread has enlightened me. I hear what you guys are saying, $100 in the long run isn't anything. So what exactly do you ask for when ordering? I Shadow Custom with a trigger job? Will that be enough to let them know what to do?
  13. Are we talking 930's that you've modified, or are you saying Mossberg is starting to ship their version?
  14. There's a bunch listed in the CZ Pistol Factory section at czcustom
  15. From what I understand, these have to be ordered from Mossberg as a special order. If you find one on a complete gun, LMK, cause I'd be interested!
  16. that's about as low as they get. Any idea if that was a weekly and/or national sale?
  17. I had planned on buying either the shadow custom or target later this spring. Do you think it'd be worthwhile to wait around to see what happens with the short dust over models? I think I'll primarily shoot USPSA, but getting the weight down for IDPA seems to be a PITA.
  18. So what do we think we're looking at, time frame wise, from Mossberg? Will they have something out by early summer?
  19. I'm assuming, if the manufacturer is still taking input and working thru a design, this is going to be well into next summer/fall before this is released. If someone was wanting to buy sooner, what's the best course of action. Maybe just a stock 930, and then send it off to have $200 worth of work done to it? Will a stock manufacturer model be worth the wait? I don't think I'm looking to buy next week, but I don't want to wait too much into next year, either.
  20. Was this model on everyone's radar before this point? Or is it becoming popular now because Jerry is shooting them?
  21. Any ideas what we might see these come in at, for a re-worked model? If we say the M2 came in at around $2000, would the 930 maybe be $1200?
  22. Thanks for the responses guys. Guess I'll start with the o-ring and 2 piston gas rings, as well as a new magazine spring. Hopefully this, with a good cleaning, will get it running right again.
  23. Hey gang, I bought a 1964 Remington 1100 from a shop a few months ago. Overall, in fairly good condition, although perhaps a little dirty. I took it out to shoot trap and while loading 1 shell in the chamber, it ran perfectly. Today, however, I took it to the range with a mix of bird shot, buck shot, and slugs, just to give it a try. While it fired everything ok, I had a lot of problems with ejecting and lifting the new shell into the chamber. Also, after putting a couple rounds in, pulling the bolt back to load the first round would never work. It seems as though the shell wasn't getting pushed up properly for the bolt to be able to push it forward. I want to get this thing a good cleaning and replace some parts. I've read about the o-ring and will definitely order a few of those. Are there some other parts I should just replace at this time to possibly help with some of the feeding and ejection issues? I suppose you could go overboard and re-do the whole gun, but I'd like to just stick to the major/critical items (if that's even possible)? What else should I look for at brownells/midway? I'm hoping to get into action shooting a little later after I can free up some time, and will most likely get a Benelli M2 or something comparable. Right now, I'd just like for this 1100 to run as smoothly as possible, keeping in mind that I most likely won't be running it hard at any matches. Thanks in advance everyone.
  24. I'm curious to get a new pair of sights. I've been shooting with the stock set for a while and I guess I didn't realize how bad they really were! Still doing some research. A lot of the more popular names of sets seem to be in the $75 and up range. These seemed nice for the price, but I just wanted to make sure. If anyone has any suggestions that would be way better than the AmeriGlo's for not too much more $$, I'm interested to hear. Thanks guys.
