  1. When I got hurt and had to return home Hey 38superman, how, and where did you get hurt, I thought i was the only one to limp through. T.F.
  2. Barry, was this the Holiday Inn? I am asking because we had a second hotel, Comfort Inn, that provided some rooms at a discounted rate. I would like to add Kudos to the Comfort Inn. I stayed there Friday night and had reservations for Saturday night as well. When I got hurt and had to return home, I limped into the hotel to check out around 4:00pm. It was 5 hours beyond check out time. I explained that I was injured at the match and had to leave. They didn't have to refund my money but they did (without being asked). I was very surprised and asked the lady why she had done that when she didn't have to. She said, "The maids are still here, besides...... its the right thing to do". Uncommon Decency. Tls

  4. Hello Shooters, I am having trouble with big stages, especially if some targets are hidden behind barrels or walls so one can only see them at a certain place in the stage.Any tips on how to keep in mind when and where to shoot a big stage, and make sure all targets have been shot? Thanks T F

  8. major ammo equals major recoil, minor ammo equals minor recoil, as in faster target acquisition
  9. Greetings shooters, have had my M & P a few months now, i really like it. But my eyes are not as young as they used to be, so trying to come up with a solution for a better sight picture. I still have the stock sights on it, i have been browsing the forum here reading all i can from other members. I was wondering about a wider notch on the rear sight, would that help acquire the front sight quicker? Has anyone tried that approach? Thanks in advance for the help. Roger
  10. Hello shooters I recently purchased a M & P, I had some old 124,s laying around so i borrowed some 115's to compare recoil. I was considering loading 147's for all my shooting, but after firing the lighter loads the 115's seemed to have less felt recoil. Has anybody shot all three weights side by side for recoil purposes? Thanks in advance for all input. Roger
  11. Brian , could you explain what index position is? Thanks TF.

  22. Hello to all , and thanks in advance for all the help and input. I went gun shopping today for a ccw . Mostly interested in a small revolver. After fondling { you guys know how it is } and dry firing some of them , there was a significant difference in the strength, and crispness of the trigger springs between different brands. I know one can do a trigger job on big revolvers, does the same apply to small pocket pistols as well? Does anyone know of a smith who will work on the small pistols? Thanks again TF
  23. nailed it. you can have them at any angle you want, just have to be behind the hip. if you want to carry more than 3 or 4, which you do, you'll have to have them vertical. Some of us are so committed to the sport that we grow our waists to accommodate more mags.
  24. My suggestion, if the same guys shoot there most of the time, then squad some slackers with some workers, try to even them out. then the slackers can/will see how it is supposed to be done.
  25. I use C R Speed. a lot of guys at the club i started shooting at used them, and i found someone who picked one from a prize table, who offered me a great deal , so it's mine now. I like it, holds gun secure, easy to use, quick on the draw. No complaints. TF
