  1. I don't know that you can make a 35 shoot flat and balanced with factory ammo.... customized loads certainly make it easier to achieve- but with that in mind, here's a couple suggestions:

Brass magwell, extended tungsten guide rod w/ 15lb. spring, good grip tape (Tru Grip!!) and some heavier extended basepads ( like the Dawson +4/5 add-ons). These few things will change the way the gun feels and handles, but you'll need to find what combo plus other tweaks work best for you.

  2. Come out on Wednesday nights to the Elm Fork Shooting Park and check out an IDPA match put on by Dallas IDPA. We welcome new shooters, and will give a briefing on safety, what to expect, etc. Our club president is a member here, I'm sure he'll chime in as well, or perhaps send you a PM. There are several classes taught on an ongoing basis, as well. Good luck, and ask any questions that you may have.

  3. Custom Glock Racing is where I ordered all her stuff from.

    Good people, good service.

I wanted to add, too, that I experimented with several powders and several bullet weights to find a load that she likes, makes major, and that she shoots well. I feel like that is a big part of it.

  4. My wife shoots a G35, with extended tungsten guide rod, brass magwell, and the world's best grip tape........and she handles it well. Sometimes too well........she's beating me. :)

  5. CR Speed is worth it, but if you are only going to shoot Production, you do have other options. A good double-thick leather work belt from somewhere like Tractor Supply will do in a pinch, or one of the Galco belts that are a Wilderness knock off as well. Also, check want ads on some of the popular gun forums.... people gain and lose weight enough they sell quite often. :)
