Most stages I shoot are pretty well defined as far as where you need to plan to do your reload. Make SURE you are walking the stage and getting a mental gameplan, too. Usually after an array of 8 (and most stages are setup that way) you can plan to do a reload. Hope that helps, and I'm sure you'll get more/better/detailed info besides mine, too. Good luck!

Charlie Vanek now has a drop in kit available also, and does outstanding work. He'd be glad to answer any questions you may have, and I HIGHLY recommend his stuff. Give him a call or drop him an email for more details.
Ralph's trigger kit is indeed nice also, so you've got options. Check them out.

I just want to say that bierman is good people & he's a hell of a good Production shooter, too! Texas's loss (for now) is Florida's gain.
Give 'em hell down there pal! Shoot straight, stay safe!

I have a Novak rear sight that you can have, assuming I can find it.
It'll work with the stock front.... send me a PM and I'll look for it if you are interested.

Glad you've gotten it figured out! I was afraid you were gonna say you let us shoot it and we jinxed it.

Dave,
Convince him to ride on up with ya'll to Waco next month...... then he can really have some fun!
Congrats again, Jamie! Good job! Now I want my first win after taking the class!! Not fair!! LOL No pressure, right? hehehehe

Congrats Jamie! Patty and I knew you soaked up the material pretty fast from the class. Good job, keep up the good work!!

+1 on the above.....just took a class from Max M. and he recommended it.

That's the weekend of the Texas State Limited, from what I can tell...... I'd love to do another class, but not sure scheduling will allow...
Is that date set in stone?

I know there are several different schools of thought on how to properly shoot a Glock with Glock trigger, so wanted to hear thoughts and 'who does what'? Do you slap the trigger? Do you full release and re-engage, or do you ride the reset and shoot that way? Inquiring minds want to know.

Mark,
You might as well go ahead and buy her a Citori right now, and be done with it.... it's only money, right? LOL

I've never had a squib round, so I'm worried that under pressure I might just tap-rack-BOOM. You don't get a re-shoot on something like that?
Had that EXACT thing happen this weekend. (Jimbob's post has a pic from it!) My wife was shooting her G35, squib round..... she did the usual tap/rack/ bang....and got BOOM. Shows us all to be very diligent!
-
RO didn't hear it..... and no one else did, either, unfortunately --and by then it was too late. Never fear, another gun already in use and back to practicing. (The graciously loaned Aardvark!!)
She's ready for the Waco match.

The slide was bent/warped.... the tungsten guide rod was bent, the extractor gone somewhere never to be found, barrel split, etc. Hard to believe....
but no one was hurt, and wifey now gets to pick out a new gun.
-
And without further ado, here is the loaner:
Thanks again to Harmon! Anyone who'll be at Max Michel's class this coming weekend can see it live and in person.....

Gonna ask mods to close this one, and I'm gonna continue it here:

Well, as you know from the other thread I had in the 'what I hate 'area, the wife's Glock blew up..... but on a positive note (besides the fact she wasn't hurt!!)......
I want to say 'what I like'. Our close friend Harmon (member here) who just built a new G24 Limited gun within the last month graciously has loaned it to Patty to use until we can do something to replace her gun. It shows what good folks are all about, and I wanted to say 'thanks' to Harmon (and the others who offered!) for the use of guns/ammo/etc.
Patty's back in action again!!
-
Don't sweat the Glock at all. In fact, it did it's job better than I had ever hoped. The fault lies totally with the ammo, not the gun. Glock will run solid forever, and if you are shooting factory ammo, even less to worry about.
I love my Glocks!

Dave...I actually don't think it cycled fully. Patty said she had a malfunction, so she did the 'tap/rack/bang' routine......... and that was the kaboom.
She wears very secure earplugs and she can barely hear anything at all with them in..... so she didn't 'hear' the squib... only saw the malfunction.
She grabbed up my gun and finished up the match ( that's my girl!) and is fine. Thing that sucks is we're taking the Max Michel class next weekend, and all of sudden find ourselves down a gun... and not just a gun, but a tricked out to suit her gun. I'm very thankful she wasn't hurt. Got a spare open gun to loan till we get another Glock built? LOL

I've had very good luck with KKM barrels. ( Except my post from today in the 'what I hate' forum!). Highly recommend them!

It was Patty's Vanek trigger Glock..... squib round. Thankfully no one was hurt...
Like a dumbass I took the powder sensor off the Dillon sometime back because I 'didn't need it'........ KKM barrel, 4.3 g of Titegroup, MG 180 bullets.... squib was stuck, other round did the kaboom.
Time to spec out a new one, order some parts and get her back in action!
This time I can improve any of the things she didn't like on this one.
Mike
PS.....Charlie, new business coming your way real soon!!
