  1. I have been shooting one for years. With the low recoil red spring I run 1145 AA reliably. If it is new break it in the heavy spring & hot rounds then switch to the lighter spring. Clean the port holes & comp occasionally & put it back keeping the holes aligned in the comp as it directs the recoil back. Make sure you put the "O" rings back in the grooves of the comp to seal it. Never needed to tune it as mine is super soft with the AA shells. I Run Xtreme or Wolf slugs. The higher FPS Fiocchi work, too. Low recoil /fiocchi will not cycle in my gun. Both shoot like lasers with a 50 yards zero. Never messed with the triggers as mine was good out of the box. Clean the carrier/piston/guide rod assembly every 1K rounds or so. Lube the carrier slides & guide rode generously. gerritm
  2. I want to say this was one of many things I tried when it first started. The case is tilting way before it ever enters the die & quite a bit, but not all do it. Many go in perfectly strait, some catch on the edge of the die. Should have taken some pictures. Too late left today for Dillon. gerritm
  3. Thinking about it, going to keep my eye out for one. gerritm
  4. I actually did the same thing to my U-die when I polished it. But that is a band aid fix & it shouldn't be tilting like it does and it didn't do it before. I am tired of band aids fixes. That is why it is going back to Dillon. I have a MBF in position 3. Really like the 650 & going from a Lee Pro it is like upgrading to a Rolls. 20 or 30K rounds with no problems, when I first got it. Have been fighting this off & on for awhile. I load 9mm for 3 of us that shoot. Ran about 20K last year and running a lot more this year. gerritm
  5. One of Dillon's suggestions is adjusting the shuttle & not over adjusting it where it bounces the case back. I have played with it and found the happy medium but doesn't change the problem. Called Dillion yesterday & it is going back. See what they say. gerritm
  6. I am much older than you, just turned Super Senior. Didn't see what division, major/minor. Minor will hurt in Limited. But when I first started I tried to shoot with faster better shooters. Eventually got together with a group of local guys & we try to shoot often and regularly together. They are all M/A/B with a couple of newer C shooters. They taught me how to break down a stage efficiently & the best movement between targets. Gaming the stage is a learned art. Where and when to do your reloads, positions, shooting & moving. All will make you faster along with trigger control. gerritm
  7. Replaced the shuttle slide as it comes with the platform kit. I have run these dies since day one due to shooting Glocks and having had resizing issues. Never have any sizing issues now. I could deal with that, but the case is not making it into the die. I have even polished the bell of the die. I know I don't have pictures, but sometimes there is quite a tilt to move with your finger. sometimes it just catches slightly going in, but does go in. Then you will run 8 or 10 perfectly into the die. I have tried it with the Dillon dies that came with and doesn't matter. Went back and tried the bearing kit & roller on the cam pin. Smoother, but still no real difference. gerritm
  8. Installed the new platform kit with a new alignment tool. After talking to Dillon tech they said it will almost never center perfectly and may rub slightly when correctly aligned. Got it to this point and put everything back together. Unit is functioning OK, but randomly the cases still tilt going into the first die. May do 5 or 6 sometimes 10 and several will tilt or you can feel them catch as they go into the Lee die. Tried adjusting the die up & down to see if it matters and it didn't seem to change anything. Primers are seating fine, everything else is good. Pretty much have replaced all of the user type parts. Something has changed, worn out, or bent or I am missing something. This 650 worked perfect for 20K rounds or so. Going to call Dillon and send it back to see if they can figure it out. gerritm
  9. Already adjusted the cam pin. If you look in the original post it will not align using the Dillon alignment tool. Something either in the frame, arm, platform, or arm is off. bent, or worn. gerritm
  10. Looks like the case goes all they way in and seats. Casefeed slide appears to seat the case all the way. It is not tilted at this point. Did have all the usual upgrades, bearing kit, roller cam pin, etc. When this started I removed them and went back to square one. Changed the ejector spring. Slide Is not hitting it. Really have replaced all the parts that affect this initial action. This has been an ongoing problem for about a year. Comes and goes. Maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 tilt. Then after removing and cleaning/lubing the shell plate it started again where it is almost every case. Did not change anything else. That is when I called Dillon for help again. gerritm
  11. When the case goes into the first opening in the shell plate to be deprimed and sized. Using a Lee u die. It tilts just enough that you have reach around and pull it forward to get it to go into the die. Have replaced all of the parts that affect this. When no case in primer position it does not do it. Adjusted and lubed all parts per dillon specs. Have tried different tool heads including the one that the pins screw into. Seems like when you seat the primer there is play in the platform/ram pushing forward on the arm. Always seats primer to correct depth. Gerritm
  12. I have been fighting this for awhile. It got better where only maybe 1 out of 10 would tilt, but it would come and go sometimes 5 out of 10. Blamed it different range brass several other things, but started about a year ago. Has gotten worse lately. I have removed all the extra enhancements, back to original setup trying to find the reason. So last weekend I took the shell plate off to clean & lube. After reinstall when I tighten the center bolt to where it just has a slight amount of resistance like I always do, it wouldn't always rotate completely to next opening. Called Dillon & they recommended replacing the ring indexer & spring. Which they sent out. Took everything apart, cleaned all, & replaced the ring indexer. I have the alignment tool. Set it up to align per instructions and it would not. Rubbed on the inner part of the primer punch opening no matter how I adjusted and tightened the screws holding the platform. I have done this before with no trouble. Called Dillon again and they are sending out a replacement platform, but said if that didn't work I would need to send the unit in. which, tired of this. Have replaced almost everything else chasing this in the last 6 months. Dillon Tech has been very helpful. Question is, how much play is in the ram/platform mount? Pins? Etc. There seems like there is more than should be in mine. Maybe have 50K rounds loaded? Something could have bent? Any ideas? gerritm
  13. Happens every once in awhile on my 650 with WSPP. When I case gauge on my Hundo every round I check for this and high primers. Never happened with CCISPP. Not sure what causes it. gerritm
  14. Taccom Extreme BCG will also work. cut for all triggers. I have a Spinta BCG and it will not work with several types of AR triggers. gerritm
  15. I run 4.5 striker springs in several Glocks and have no problems lighting WSPP off. 4.0 is a bit sketchy. gerritm
  16. Got both triggers installed. Put the 3.5# one in my rifle. Put the 2.5# in my PCC with Taccom Extreme BCG. Both worked perfect. The 3-gun match @ 2.5# is really amazing. Break is like glass & reset is super fast with no creep. gerritm
  17. Looks like the same one I got from Outerimpact. It did work although the screws provided would not. Had to go with a socket head type instead of flared and modify the holes slighty so they would go in strait. Going to test it today. gerritm
  18. My cerakoted 34 after shooting and holstering it in a kydex holster has some wear right along the edges of the slide towards the front. Talked to a very competent gunsmith about this and he said check the inside for dust & sand. Being in Texas we have some pretty dusty ranges. Sure enough there was a pretty good coating. Started wiping it out after each match when the wind/range is bad and have reduced the wear quite a bit. gerritm
  19. I had the same problem with my new MBF only my bell was way less that what yours is. It set the bullet in the case about 90% of the time. I kept increasing the bell slightly and lowering the MBF die until it put them in 99% of the time. Still not near as much bell as yours. Steel balls are in the upper holes. gerritm
  20. I shot an Open Bobby Carver built major 17 for a couple of years in 3-gun and USPSA. Shot hot minor loads in 3-gun & major in USPSA. My load was about the same as yours. Never really had a lot of malfunctions just everything came loose even with red loctite. Was constantly re-tightening the screw pins. I could tell when they loosened cause the C-More would start to shift POI. Gun ran great. Sold it and went to an STI open DVC. My buddy shoots basically the same open 17 setup now. His is home built. He runs lots of major rounds thru it. I think he is on his 3rd or 4th slide. Gun does run very reliably. But for long term major I would go with a 2011. Now for minor steel or 3-gun they are great. gerritm
  21. Checked it out for drilling & tapping and the screw holes to connect the red dot to the adapter plate would over lap the screws that hold the dovetail to the slide so no go. Company by the name of Outerimpact makes a Glock rear sight adapter plate that supposedly will work with almost any red dot. Of course they don't list the Bushnell. Sent an email to their CS and answered right away that that the Bushnell line of RD's are new and they haven't tested to see if it would work. I ordered one anyways to try. Can always return it. Bought off Amazon. If that doesn't work I guess get the slide cut and a plate made or go back to the Vortex Venom with an adapter like I have on my open 3-gun Glock 34. Kind of like using an adapter plate as it raises the dot up slightly and I seem to acquire it faster. gerritm
  22. A follow up to this, have not shot the 2.5# 3-gun flat match trigger in a match, yet. But in testing & practice it is sweet. Good price on it, too. Checked the actual break point on my gauge & right at 2.5#. No creep, fast reset. gerritm
  23. Sure can, but wanted to try to find the adapter. Gerritm
  24. I am trying to mount a bushell advance reflex mini red dot to replace a Vortex Venom on my Glock 34. Website says #1 plate which should be the same as the Venom. It is not the same screw holes mounting position. 4 posts match. Any ideas? Called their CS and they have no clue. Screw holes are slightly more forward than the Venom. Gerritm
  25. I"ve got to brag on CMC CS. We run 5 of them in various AR's & PCC's. Had a CMC 3.5# AR drop in flat trigger that I think I won several years ago. Was in my 3-gun rifle then swapped to my PCC. Ran this trigger for several years and many many thousand of rounds between the 2 rifles. Finally one of the springs broke in a match in my PCC. Ran my backup for the rest of the match. Swapped out the trigger with one of my extras. Bought a new 2.5# flat 3-gun match trigger to replace it. Tested it in 2-different rifles and something was just not right. Didn't want to reset all the time. Called CMC and the tech immediately said send it back. Asked what it was replacing and explained about the broken one. He said you have a lifetime warranty on it and send that one back also. Shipped both back and in about a week with shipping had 2 brand new tested triggers back from them. Gotta love a great company that supports our sports. gerritm
