Thanks. Price of gun, used DVC type grip, magwell of choice, replace internals with EGW hammer and trigger assembly if I like and I have an RTs2. I'm thinking should be good to go at about $2100.00 for new open gun with lifetime warranty. Sounds like a great way to enter Open Division or have a backup to a more custom gun.

I am still running the factory ignition parts. 2 1/2 lbs and dependable

Holosun 510c weight without QD but with shroud. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I was leaning towards the 510c due to the size of the glass. I will go ahead and get an Atlas mount on the way.

Pull off the outer shroud and QD mount from the 510C and there is no weight issue.

Is the optic still robust to allow dumping into buckets for 3gun matches?

  4. I am currently running a 507c on my CO gun and really like the clarity of the dot. It is very easy to pick up. I have a Atibal MRD v2 on my open pistol and have considered buying a 510c for my open pistol. I have noticed several for sale in the classified with a mount and have to wonder if the weight is an issue. I would just change the 507c over to the open gun but I will need to buy another mount and don't want to end up with an extra mount if the 507 is to small for the open pistol.

  5. How effective is the comp when shooting 1145fps ammo. I can't tell much difference. I am going to drill 3 holes in the top of the comp to see what that does but I am thinking I will just leave it off. The pattern is much better without it also.

I'd think w the weight and friction of a 12g stack you would want as much ass being the spring as possible. Sure the basepads I just added removed some of that spring pressure but I haven't run them yet to see how they are doing and if spring fatigue issues will show up sooner than without

The RIA mag springs are a LOT stronger than the springs in my 12 and 20rd mags for my Lynx shotgun. I have wondered why they need to be so strong. I did find out during a match on Sat that installing a spring backwards in a 10rds mag will cause misfeeds.

Mine would occasionally hang up like that.  I sanded off the anodizing and polished the feed ramp in the lower receiver.  This seems to have fixed it.

Might check the extractor notch in the barrel.  Mine was very sharp and would cut the plastic near the end of the shell.  Where it folds over to form the crimp.  I don’t think it was causing the malfunction, but i “smoothed” it up anyway.

finally, I noticed it seems to run best with lots of oil.

I think I found my problem. The forward legs on the bolt carrier were rubbing the magazine. I measured the carrier legs and found the very front of the leg was .038 narrower than the rear section. I adjusted this and it is now much smoother. I won't get to test it before the match on Saturday but it feels "right" now.

Is it all rounds in the mag or just the first? Or are you leaving rounds in the mag for any amount of time before you try this...say couple hours or anything where the first round gets distorted? I’ve found some odd things about this gun when not firing it but it seems like it runs fine under live fire

Most of the first 8-10 rounds. They were loaded in the mag just before I cycled it.
