Original Thread Who is planning on attending the Great Plains Sectional? I know im going after missing it for the last 2 years in a row. (I was in Iraq) Ive looked at the stage descriptions and it looks like it will be a good match. The match is being held at the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club. There will be 8 stages, 250+rounds. The entry fee is $65 or $75 w/ a match t-shirt. Lunch will be catered BBQ from a local resteraunt. We had them cater one of the matches earlier in the year and the food was faboulous. As of now they are still allowing entries for the match. They are trying to get an accurate headcount for the food and t-shirts. See ya there!

Im loading the 60gr V-Max over 25.0gr of H4895 w/ and average velocity of 2863fps from a 18" 1-8 twist barrel. The accuracy is extremly good, better than the 69gr SMK's and the 69gr HPBT. I also have loaded em' w/ 25.9gr of Varget w/ an average velocity of 2857fps. The Varget is a PIA to load out of the Dillion powder measure. Neither of the loads are at max, so there is no reason you couldnt get your target velocity from a 16"bbl. Both of my loads are over 170PF.

Ill get there someday. Im suprised that it hasnt changed by itself already.

Isnt that the truth! My standard load for any match is Double the min amount of rounds + 10%. So this match ill be bringing about 700rds total. Id rather have to much ammo than not enough.

The last info i got on the M&P forum, the 5" will be released in 9mm. A 40 prob wont come out for some time. I currently have a M&P40 it has a 4.25" barrel. A 5" would be cool, but i would ONLY buy it in a 40. I want the option to shoot Prod, L10, or Limited.

How much did it cost to re-body a C-more w/ aluminum?

+1 on the JP! Had a CMC that was fine for about 500 rounds then the hammer wouldnt catch the disconnect about 75% of the time.

Im running 180gr Rainier HP over 3.6gr of titegroup w/ 1.135"OAL. It chrono's at 139PF. Brass dribbles at my feet when i shoot. I dont think i would go any lighter than that w/o a spring change.

At out local monthly 3 gun match yesterday. We had a 24 round slug stage. I was all set to shoot, i had my peep sight zeroed, and i knew where i would do my reloads. I was telling one of the other shooters how much i liked shooting the Wolf slugs and that they worked really well in my 1100CM. I get up to the start box, timer goes off, first shot 'bang' then 'click'. Hmm it must have short stroked. Shot a couple more rounds, same deal. I finished the whole stage shooting then racking a new round into the chamber. After i was done i thought maybe that i had blown the O-ring or something. Then i remember the previous night when i cleaned the shotgun. Whenever i clean the gun i can never remember that i have to press in the feed latch to release the bolt and operating system from the receiver. I remember something hitting the bench while i was fiddling w/ it. Well it turns out that the thing that hit the bench was the Piston assy. It wont work w/o a piston. Lesson learned: if you clean your gun, make sure all of the parts get back in the gun.

+1 to that brother! and they dont get better as you go through the series...just something to look forward to! +10000000 Anthrax sucks like no other and G, it's the thyphoid that makes you sick as a dog. My smallpox from when I was a kid on Guam was still good, so when they gave it to me again in 04, it went away almost instantly. Anthrax feels like a someone lit a match under your skin. I deployed 3 days after getting the smallpox shot, so i was nursing a nasty, itchy sore on my shoulder for 2 weeks.

i dont put anything other than a bore-snake down my barrels.

She doesnt know the combo for the safe, nore could she figure out the S&G lock if she did.

i use the recipe's for the 69gr SMK for my 68gr Hornady loads. They seat farther into the case but i dont see any adverse effect as far as pressure is concerned. I think they Hornady bullets are more accurate and consistent than the Serria.

little update. currently im more pissed that she didnt have the balls to tell me there was something wrong. I dont really care that she moved out. She is just a coward. Im recovering slowly. Hopefully this weekend i can get me some.

got home from work tonight and the whole house was empty . G/f just up and moved out w/ no warning whatsoever. She said she needed her space. Whatever that means. my stuff is still here, she didnt take anything that wasnt hers. can friggin believe she is gone. :(

Area 3 is coming up in Oct. The only reason im going to make the trip is to RO. Sure ill shoot the match, but thats not the important thing. I really enjoy giving back to the sport and meeting shooter from my area. If i couldnt RO it, idk if i would even go.
