Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. If Jim could snap his fingers and make them appear, he would. However, when dealing with companies that specialize in such things as springs, one must wait their turn. Got it! Didn't know if there was a window of time, when they were expected? Some of us aren't having any problems with Jim's mags, as is.... have you tried yours?
  2. Earlier this century Michigan had a well-developed PCC scene. Several clubs had scheduled events and a well-run state championship was held for a number of years. Maybe some clubs still run the matches. Patrick Sweeney wrote about it (we shot various USPSA/ICORE matches with him regularly), as well as (if I remember correctly) my friend Roy Neal. Great matches, great fun! Undoubtedly, there are still people around there who could provide excellent ideas and counsel how to design and run good PCC matches. Wish I could convince my new friends, here, to run PCC, but our monthly schedule is filled up with equally fun events. WR
  3. If you accept the premise that winning shotgun stages is, ultimately, determined by how fast you reload, then a magwelled Saiga is the way to go. The assumption is, of course, that the Saiga is reliable. If you want a fast, reliable one, call Jack Travers. George
  4. Easy way to do it is to take a shotgun shell and mark primer with back sharpie and while ink is still wet place the shotgun shell primer end down on top of the follower for the tech loader and press down. Remove the shell and with a dremel or a drill remove the part of the follower where you see the black sharpie marker on the follower and you have successfully modified your old one. I also think the "new" design has been on the market for some time. OK, so it is just making the hole bigger... that's easy. The other description sounded like some vertical cut to the face of the push/plunger. Easy to do, thanks. Yes, aware the "new" ones have been out for sometime but (like many of us) we been at this for some time and have many of the old Tec Loader tubes. Again, thanks for the help. George
  5. Kelly, Sorry to bring this up again, but do you have a photo of what the modification looks like? From the description, it is not a reproduction of the "new" speedloader design. (sorry, sometimes I need a picture to get it). Thanks for the help. Regards, George
  6. Great lists... classics all. Anyone remember these?... Zulu The Hunters The Green Slime (great theme song) The Killer Elite Extreme Prejudice Hard Boiled
  7. Looks like GrumpyOne has everybody stumped. May I offer one while we're waiting?... went back to the beginning of the string and was surprised not to see it: my hands are lightning upon my gun... my shots are clean and my shots are final, my shots are deadly, and when its done... Thanks... enjoying the string WRanger
  8. Any hockey fans out there? "Jesus saves.... and Esposito scores on the rebound." These days, it would be Sydney Crosby....
  9. If I recall correctly, mounted shooting (popping balloons) is done with some form of blank (no projectiles). The burning powder pops the balloon. While even doing that is a considerable skill (on a moving horse), is that shooting? No disrespect intended to mounted shooters...
  10. Thanks to all. Knew STI had stopped making mags for Para, but didn't know the status of .40. We'll see if they work....
  11. Did STI make Para mags in .40? Found a couple stainless mags that look like STIs... they fit my Para pistols, have followers that are 38 super-length, but definitely .40 feedlips. The mags have STI indentation grooves on one side, but a single big v-groove on the other (with a long narrow groove the rest of the length)... like a Rescomp. Sound familiar? Thanks. WRanger
