  1. To save money. One barrel, two revolvers.
  2. I use .358 coated bullets in everything. THIS IS NOT LOADING ADVICE.
  3. Yeah, my buddy "the grey ghost" has the 10 shot. It's pretty cool. Just about every part on it is custom.
  4. True, but most bullets for 9mm are .355/.356 where as most .38 bullets are .357/.358. My 929 wouldn't shoot factory ammo very well. Poor accuracy and lots of failures to fire.
  5. If you come home with two rounds left in your moons, that means the course designer did a good job of keeping it six round neutrall. Some do some don't. As I said, with a 7 round gun you're competing against 8-shot guns, not 6.
  6. It's a design feature, not a flaw.
  7. I've found mine to be ammo brand sensitive.
  8. I've got both a 929 and a 627. Both barrels slugged at .357. In my 627 I run a .358 160 Bayou Bullet in front of 3gr of Clays (not universal, not international) in a Starline .38 Short Colt case. It took a while to get my 929 to run right. I finally settled on .358 147gr bullet. In a Federal case, with a .035 mom clip. 99.99% of the time I shoot my 627.
  9. As far as shooting a 7-shot gun you can, but you're competing against 8-shot guns, not 6.
  10. Forget how it looks, does it pass the plunk test?
  11. Stage 1: My last stage. I was a walking zombie at this point. I just wanted to finish up, go home, and die. Stage 1 was a great stage. Targets, steel, poppers, a swinger, walls and ports. I managed THREE yes THREE mikes. I finished up, said my goodbyes, and went back to the VRBO. In fact I didn't even go back on Sunday for the shootoffs, awards, raffle and lunch. But I heard they were good. 88/101 my worst stage of the match.
  12. Stage 7: another one I enjoyed. Targets, walls, ports, steel and a swinger. Again, I shot it in slow motion. But I got the swinger. 74/101
  13. Stage 6: my brain was spinning I liked this stage, it had everything. Targets, poppers, plates and movement. 70/101 My brain was in slow motion, and I shot it in slow motion.
