I don't shoot skeet but I understand that #9 is the way to go.
For trap, I would be perfectly content with only shooting 1-1/8 oz #8 for everything. Light for 16yd & 1st shot of doubles and Heavy for Caps and 2nd shot of doubles.
I've shot 7.5 and my scores are the same but my head tells me 8's are better and as we all know, the game in 90% between your ears.

Recently went to a Hollosun. I know it's a small dot but has been working for me.
Which one?
I'm kinda intrigued by the circle - dot

I use the RTS2 for just about everything SC related because I like the larger dot availability ; 8 or 10 MOA
The feedback I have gotten is the RTS2 doesn't like being slide mounted ; The glass will crack.
So, what's the consensus for a CO optic for SC ?

A non vote is 100% an endorsement of whome ever gets elected. In essence you are saying you don't care.
The membership only ever got a say at the time of the election. Much the same as our government. We ellect those people in hopes they will do what we think is the right thing. If they do not then next election they dont get reelected.
The membership gets a chance to vote every single weekend -

A 7 round handicap is pretty big. With 23 rounds there aren't too many stages requiring more than 1 reload and many with none.
16 rounds in the mag will mean a reload for sure and maybe 2.
If you can reload on the move, the 16 major is probably a better bet than the 23 minor but if there are 2 standing reloads, it will come down to your skill set.

A couple of things really stood out to me in this whole process that I found odd on a good day.
The ignoring of the bylaws that require a special election when the president leaves mid-term was one of them. I'm not sure I really hear a reason why TBH. It just didn't happen.
I do appreciate that the BoD that created the dumpster fire tried to fix it. It seems like the were using diesel instead of water to fight it but they did try.
The leaked emails were a hoot. Middle School BS IMHO.
As to the salary, I think they are way under the number needed to attract the right person as a full time job. I wouldn't take it for twice that. And think about it like this, we currently have the president come from the membership pool. That is the dumbest thing ever. Now I will grant you that with MV, we had a member that was a leader and understood the org as well as the business side but I don't think we will ever be able to replicate that again. What we need is an org leader to run the place.
This change might accomplish it but was done all wrong. It gave the appearance of trying to hide something and the BoDs response to Ben and some other members only confirmed that. They didn't just change the leadership structure they made it so that changing it back will be nearly impossible. Presumably so it will have some time to play out and see if it works.
I suspect that when those ADs come up for re-election they will have challengers who will point out these shenanigans or more likely won't run.
Time will tell.

i'm getting my dad's 10/22 and I was going to put it in a drop kit for my son to progress him into USPSA and/or steel challange
We have a couple of guys that shoot 10/22's quite successfully so they can and do work - just not for me.
The Kidd trigger is absolutely sick.

welp that bursted my bubble lol
Don't let it - just be forewarned that if you experience reliability issues on any platform, look to the magazines first.

I tried the 10/22 stuff and gave up on it. Too many magazine issues.
The S&W AR15-22 has been nearly flawless for me. Certainly no magazine issues.
Gun works great out of the box with the small change of triggers. IIRC I'm running a HiperFire one.

9th Circuit upholds California ban on high-capacity ammo magazines
The en-banc ruling came down today and not in our favor.
It isn't exactly clear what this means for USPSA / IPSC type matches but if it stands, we will be regulated to 10 rd limits for everything.

Think I have the worst luck! Sent a almost new XL750 back to Dillon on an alignment issue. Must have been a bad press altogether because they just sent me a brand new one for replacement.
The new one is better. The camping pin needs adjustment, but I know how to do that. But what I don’t know, or understand, is why my shell plate moves coming out of the dies. It’s like it’s being forced to the position it needs to be in when going in the dies, then snaps back coming out.
I’m at my whits end if this is another alignment issue I had with my previous one.
-My shell plate is tightened properly, with the set screw tight.
-I even did a fresh install of all my dies.
-Primers feed and work fine.
Only thing I can think of is a index block adjustment. But I’ve never done that. I think that can also affect the alignment of my primer cup. I don’t want to mess with it unless I have to.
The manual is pretty vague on the index block adjustment. Almost non existent. Any feedback on how to make sure it’s properly adjusted, and what it affects would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
If you can post a video, I'm sure the group can help

Thanks - after searching for the others a couple have popped up.
Apparently they require removal of the rear sights and that's probably why most don't offer the service.

Looking at having a slide milled and I can't find anyone who offers the RTS2 cut.
