  1. Got an email reply from Mossberg (sent last week) asking about the competition model 930.

"Thank you for your e-mail. Sir we only know that this model will be available by next year. "

Email that I got from mossberg said it will be out by late summer. I just wish someone had a ballpark price of what they will cost

  2. Wow wish I waited before getting ripped off on one with a bad parallax in the wanted section

At what distance ? Did you call Burris?

At a 100 yds it moved 8" to 12" ..in the manual it just lists the address. So I sent it off today

EDIT: found number on there website and I took your advice and gave them a call. They said it would be a easy fix and I should have it back in 4 to 6 weeks

  3. I just got email from mossberg that the competition model will be out late summer

Meaning full specs and price announced or actually on the shelves in gun stores?

    here is email

Thank you for your e-mail. Yes, this model will be available by late summer as to when we don’t have exact date All our shotguns are currently in unusually great demand; we've increased production on all models and are shipping to distributors as best we can. Best option is to have your dealer order your model from his distributor(s) to get into the queue. Please log in at our Dealer locater so you can find a nearby dealer that might have this gun available.

The gun will be very custom build for 3-Gun as prescribed by Jerry Miculek, Benny Hill and Kurt Miller:

Black Composite Stock – Matte Blue Finish

24” Vent Rib Barrel w/ NO PORTING

Choked barrel to include 3 choke tubes: I.C., Mod., Full.

Front Green Fiber Optic Sight – No mid-bead

9 Round magazine tube w/Barrel clamp (+1 for total of 10 round capacity)

Bolt release button to be drilled and Nordic Bolt Release button added

Bottom loading port will be rounded for easier/faster loading

  4. Looking for answers from guys that have fired alot of shots through there 930. Was thinking of getting fn but buds was out of stock. So I read a few threads that sparked my interest in the 930. Also how much cash would I have to put into it to get it up to speed? Ie: barrel cut and threaded, nordic extension, clamp, sights and anything else I would need to have a good 3gun shotgun.

    Thanks for the help

    Steve

  5. Does it have a diffrent roll pin for the striker in the 5.25 vs the 4.5 model?

No, the sights, slide and barrel are the only differences.

That's strange, that they would not try to fix the roll pin issue. In the 1 year I shot the xdm in competition I had 2 break on me. Another guy at my club also had 2 break on him in 1 year

What roll pin issue? Third season for my 40 XDm, and have yet to break one. I have had the pin out a few times, but it is still the original pin. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I always say. Having said that, I do carry spares ;)

Stop drinking the kool aid..Its broken for many people. Im not trying to rain on the hype. Its a honest question.

  6. It willl effect your natural POA as you grip it. I am in the process of trying to go back to the large, as it seems the sights seem to line up naturally better for me. I shot the small backstrap for the past few months because of the ease of hitting mag release. But I think the sight alignment may be more important for me. Also draw seems quicker for me with large.

  8. I almost bought the Saiga but don't want to compete in open where it appears a big bank account can level the playing field of skill... not that I am all that skilled, but no way I will win against those who are skilled and have mucho money to invest in their guns. For now I have no desire to compete in anything except production.

A Saiga 12 is what, $600.00. A Tromix re-build is what, $395.00? $995.00 for a ready to go 3Gun shotgun? That's not bad. 1/2 the price of a prepared Benelli.

He was most likely talking about the other two guns that would go along with the saiga in open.
