  1. Just getting into rifle and im looking at mounts. What are the main purposes of having a quick detach mount?

    Thanks

    steve

The real purpose is to aid in quick removal if the optic becomes damaged or malfunctions. If you plan to keep the optic in place there is no real need for a quick detach.

Thanks, I don't really plan on taking it off once its on

  2. As a competition pistol it is a step in the right direction. Nice length & sights but... It still can't compete with the Glock 34 & Smith & Wesson M&P pro because the bore axis is way to high. A high bore axis = more muzzle flip = slower times. What they needed to do is a major redesign where they lower the bore axis and make it so you can get your hand higher on the frame.

With that type of thinking maybe they need to redesign the 1911 it to has a high bore axis to shoot it fast. This bore axis excuse just doesn't fly. Learn to grip the gun properly and shoot good ammo, you won't be able to see any difference.

Oh and I've seen people shooting .013 splits with excellent accuracy out of an XD/m, maybe if the bore axis is lowered they could do .012 or .011's. As Flex would say pick a gun and shoot it.

Your comparing a metal frame to a polymer. I own both the m&p and a xdm and shot with my reloads you can for sure tell the difference in muzzle flip. Its just a fact.

I'm not comparing guns, I'm using your theory on bore axis. The difference between the XD/m, m&p, and glock is insignificant, now if your looking at inches then it might hold a few drops of water.

Its not my theory. I thought it was a scientific one...lol maybe the m&p just felt better. When I go back to the xdm the grip texture just doesn't feel as great as the m&p. I was probably talking in inches. Other then that and the roll pin I never had any other problem with the xdm. The $1400 price tag is quite suprising though

Bore axis....can we put that tired argument to rest yet? We just heard from 2 premier gunsmiths that said it's negligible. Shoot what ever you want.....just shoot it

My bad...I learned it from reading this forum.

  5. BTW girl from mall video actually tried to sue mall because of video. ...it supposedly ruined her life. No one would have even known it was her had she not come forward...nothing surprises me anymore.

  6. I canceled the directv sunday ticket today. Even if it comes back I can't contribute to there greed. Wish more fans would show them who is actually in charge. Just 1 week or 2 of a boycott and they would lose millions. But unfortunately not many if any will take a stand.

  7. I would recommend that you do NOT buy from Blade Tech. I ordered a Black Ice holster in the middle of May; it just arrived today (June 20), although they billed my credit card immediately.

I read about the ejection port problems just after I sent my order. I e-mailed my concerns and said to make sure the holster was USPSA legal. The space below the ejection port is a full inch. (my old BT was at least close to 1/2 inch)

BT knew of these issues, and I specificly brought up the issue, and yet the holster was not made even close to correct.

Call them up, they will do everything they can to help you. They are a great company when it comes to customer service. Mistakes happen
