Greetings everyone, I could have swore that I posted the match announcement here about the 2012 Western States Single Stack Championship, but I was informed that I had NOT! Sorry about that.......the 2012 Western States Single Stack Champion will be the weekend of Jan. 28th and 29th. 2012 at the Rio Salado Sportsman's Club in Mesa Arizona. You can print a match application at www.riopractical.com and there is a link on the left hand side. Once we get the stages finalized I will post the round count here for you. As of today, the match is right at half full. If you have any questions, please let me know. Steve H

HI all, sorry for not being on here more often, been slammed here at work, and the area 2......I have a stack of applications on my desk, adn will get confimations out by the end of the weekend.......we are almost half full......sorry again, everything will be updated by the end of the weekend. There is also a LaQuinta and a Country Inn Suites located at the Superstition Freeway (U.S. 60) and Superstition Springs Blvd.......pretty good area, with lots of restaurants within walking distance..... Steve

Hi all, we continue to get applications daily......I will be sending out confirmations tonight to the shooters I recently received....... As far as the number of mags to have, I used to have 4 on my belt all the time, and start with one in the gun.....over the last 8 years, I have only a few times needed more than that. Sometimes on the standard exercise I might have needed more, but never more than 6 total. See ya all soon........ Steve

I have seen 3 bad penalties on the Steelerss................no call.............I guess the NFL wants the Steelers to win............I am done with pro sports.............

..........one more thing to all............this match has and will always be what I have always wanted..........a shooting match......you all come here to shoot the best Single Stack match in the country...............and you will get that.......those of us that have been there the last 6 days (some of you, the last 6 years) put our heart and soul into this match......because we beleive that this is the best match of its kind out there..........so please come, have a great time, enjoy some great shooting, some great people and have fun!!!!!!! When you run into Jay Knight and Bob Gerek, say thanks............Kyle, Polle and Rich know that I couldn't do this without them......truly........they are the guys that make this match happen........more than me............................ Hi all...........here is the latest..........weather has been cold here the last few days............I wore a sweat shirt all day.....except for the steel match tonight.....but then again we started shooting at 3:00PM...........high has been in the low 60's the last two days...........god this sucks.......!!!!!! I need 80's!! Anyway.......it looks like the weather will be great..........like I promised.....stages look good, and alot of fun..........really............if you get here soon enough, come out Friday afternooon, and check out the stages and pick up your packet and shirt, so we can get started on time Saturday......... there will be a shooter briefing at 0700 on Sat....so we can start shooting at 0730 on Sat...... and again...........everyone has to help teardown on Sunday, because I have to leave to watch my Cardinals win the Superbowl........!!!!! I would say bring something to drink...........was out there all day today........and didn't have any food or water.......there will be a food vendor, if not two.....but I would suggest a bottle of water or two.......weather for the weekend is low to mid 70's.........slight chance of snow.........yeah right...... I will check BE every night until the match.......so if you have any questions or concerns......let me know....... the stages are coming along great, and I will forever be in debt to those guys that make this match happen..........Kyle, Rich, Dave and the rest of the guys behind the scenes.............. If anyone is getting together at the Tilted Kilt (Gilbert Rd and Baseline).......Friday would be great, I would love to meet you all.......Saturday is no good, my brother comes into town, so I will be having dinner with him.........
