  1. yeah, some people just don't know what to do with it.......
  2. i hear sandro's gonna get one next.......
  3. Its fine thats the beauty of the clubs here in az they are not whiny beetchiiz like some clubs and who cares eventually it going to get legal soon .. Ill just have to wait So you're saying that clubs that actually enforce the division rules and refuse to let competitors cheat are whiny female dogs? Unbelievable! couldn't have said it better myself....excellent summation!
  4. ......(ba-doom, tshhht)....i'll be here all week, try the veal, tip your servers.......
  5. cliff's doesn't stick cause' he has this special LUBE....... i was real careful not to get any on me, though.....
  6. there's something about LC brass in .223 that's alot more accurate, haven't really experimented w/it in .308. i'm sure there's a million answers here about why......but, the case capacity is very different between different brands, w/LC seeming to have the most. I do @25 grs. of varget, and if i try to put that in and american eagle federal case, or one of the brit 'radway green' cases, it'll probably flow out the top, and i seat 75 hornadys in the LC cases fine, so...it's also interesting to weigh the cases, and you'll see a big difference, and correspondingly w/ case capacity. i use LC for accurate stuff, everything else for the 50 yd. blasting stages, cause' pretty much everything will give enough accuracy there. YMMV.....
  7. so how's your 386yd. 8" steel plate shots working out?.........
  8. i think the 'high speed/low drag' look will be the new thing for USPSA competition. open shooters will be able to drop signifigant time w/reduced wind resistance........
  9. duder, i 'm just being argumentative......if your stuff works, go blast off. 1.75 is nice, but the real voodoo is in the distance from the datum line to the base of the case.........headspace........controlling that, and you stick the case in so the bullet is centered in the bore. why do you think the benchrest guys don't even wanna size the body, just the neck on cases they fire repeatedly. cause' they fit the chamber perfectly centered. you can do this pretty good w/an AR if you get the technique right. yeah, it'll go bang when loose, but accuracy is gonna suffer. get it too loose, and bad stuff happens. i have some dies that are so short, it's crazy. they size the case way too much, push the shoulder way back...... i think manufacturers do this on purpose so nobody gets brass too long and w/a high primer, slamfires, and then sues the manufacturers. my way, you set the headspace perfect for your gun, works every time. AR bolts and bolt stubs wear over time, headspace gets longer. old school way was to back off the die a bit, sizing to where you wanted, but you're still dependant on the linkage, and that ain't always repeatable. loading rifle ain't anything like loading straight wall pistol, and big numbers on a progressive press don't really translate. iagain, my $.02.......rant off
  10. i'm gonna chime in here, and sound like a know it all, but what the hell, that's what this forum's for, right?....... i dunno how you get accurate headspace from that set-up, the tool head moves too much, and even if you lock the thing, the linkage ain't all that accurate, IMO. you gotta size w/a single stage, and the shell plate locking to the bottom of the die, then you get accurate headspace. w/redding variable shellplates, you can get perfect headspace for your gun every time. then you go to the progressive......my $.02......
  11. i have a dillon .223 die for my dillon trimmer that leaves the necks .244, pretty much perfect for LC brass, kinda tight for WW or RP, but who cares about them..... makes killer 75/77gr. loads. how come sandro's die leaves his necks .242, too tight to load correctly right out of the trimmer? i guess i just got a perfect die from a worn reamer? i have a 30-06 die also, for my M-1 loads. haven't measured them, but the loads work great, so.....trying to get a die opened up .002 ain't gonna be an easy thing to do. i think you're gonna have to have a pretty good grinding set-up on a very accurate lathe, and the set-up/indication process is gonna be hard as hell. i'd be very wary of trying to have somebody open it up as a project, it ain't gonna be an easy thing to do......
  12. i had a couple of those awhile back when i first started loading .40. never had it loading .45 or 9mm. i think i didn't lube the cases enough. i spray alot of that alcohol/wax kinda lube all over the cases before i size. don't be shy w/the stuff. i haven't had any since. if you have that 'glock' buldge really bad, w/o lube it bites to the die too much, i think. that's my $.02........
  13. Ah, come on Mike. You know accuracy and major power factor loads are not quite my style... I like the Back-to-Back on Saturday and Sunday, then a 22 revo and auto steel match on Friday. +1111111111
  14. i guess this is the karmic payback for your 'pictures'.........
  15. i think you should ask 'otis' about lubrication.........he had to have some 'special stuff' last weekend......
  16. after reviewing 'THE PICTURE' with some medical friends, the concensus is that if Sigmund Freud ever saw this, it would change the course of modern psychology........
  17. no, those weren't mine..... mine were much too small for him!
  18. great time!.....been to all 3 of the OOPS affairs, and it's always been a class act. the match, that is....... the rest of the stuff will have to be judged by history, and the perpertrators(sp?) hung quickly and privately!......many thanks for all those that set this thing up, i don't think anybody had any complaints, except about those damn 4" plates........do the SS/Revo thing next time, just don't know how to get the steel match in with that concept. the steel match this time was great. the Tappe's range was about the nicest range i've been to yet, "field of dreams".......can't wait til' next time......
  19. my thanks to linda, sgt. hampton, all the AMU, and everyone else who works so hard to put this shindig on! i've been at every one, and they were all great! the thing that makes this match so good is all the energy that goes into it. whatta buzz.... i know my buds and me are getting gassed up already. i'm sure this one will be special, because all the others certainly were. wouldn't miss it........ hung out w/sgt. hampton at the S.C. State Match after party/party, great to get the inside perspective on what it takes to put this thing on. at least i think that's what we were talking about???? seemed like pretty important stuff at the time, from what i can remember.......you can lose the smoke in the WW1 trench thing, though.......
  20. that's our buddy ron kearney.
  21. We're planning on 225 rounds for the Friday rimfire steel match, and about 200 rounds each for the Saturday and Sunday USPSA-style combat matches. So Dave should pack about 1250 rounds for the weekend yeah, the love is just startin'.........
  22. somewhat off-topic, but....... what's the round count for this shindig? we need to ship bullets, so......
  23. That explains why we couldn't get the honeymoon suite with the heart-shaped hot tub. A couple of guys from FL beat us to it we do like to be comfortable...........
