  1. i will have to pull out of the charity challenge because i have pneumonia and my dad is sick as well hope to shoot with everyone next year so that means bubber and jess c. get a pass this year! thanks sam for everything you do thanks chris g. and john g.
  2. i bought my safe from academy to and almost the same story they were help full but the safe was missing some fo the stuff inside and i went back to the store and they told me they would have to order the stuff and i asked for a manager and after telling him my problem he went and got the stuff i was missing out of another safe and gave it to me. no thats customer service thats why i always shop there first
  3. my vote would be a new xdm i bought one for my wife and she has very small hands and after changing the back straps she was able to shoot this with very few problems she also wanted grip tape added to to grip to help with recoil control because the gun still moved a little bit when shooting after the grip tape all problems sloved and iam off the hook she is also able to shoot my 1911 because the grip is small as well hope this helps
  4. i agree with cdpmatt that its easier to do it your self just get some practice plastic and a soldering iron and start burning plastic tell you get the burning to a consistent pattern its not hard just a little practice and patience and you will be a pro to i ask a gunsmith how he learned this is what he told me hope this helps
  5. for me to shoot better at matches was to write down the problems i had at prior matches and practice these like shooting through ports, prone , etc. do not spend all of your time on these just address them so your more comfortable with them i agree with everyone else if yuor not making the hits or the right positions at a 100% then slow to what it takes to make all A hits then the more you shoot you will shoot faster with better shot calling and stage decisions hope this helps
  6. all this info is great i got to shoot some limited guns from local gun club members i shot a bull barrel gun with lightened slide not much recoil with 200 gr bullets and also shot a bushing barrel gun with 180gr and the sights return fast with a little more recoil the guns only weigh a few ounces different but the bull barrel shot much better groups and the transitions felt the same with either gun thanks for everyones info now have to find someone to build me a awesome limited gun

has anyone converted an spo1 to single action and if so what parts did you use
  12. blade tech holster and cr speed pouches
  13. springs are cheap i would change every 3000 rds as cheap as they are vs the time testing shooting ,matches etc
  14. my dad has been reloading lead bullets for over thirty years and has never had any health problems with loading lead bullets wtih bare hands . i agree with mike that while shooting if you get residue on your hands then carry some kind of wet wipe with you to fix this problem. iam also a plumber and have been using lead on a weekly basis for 15yrs and have been tested every year and have no health problems i also know people who dont smoke and have lung cancer
  15. i would practice the da pull i think it would to much time to thumbcock the hammer there are to many things that could go wrong with the transfer like one guy said get snap caps and practice pulling the trigger straight back and smooth !
