  1. This worked great < 1 minute with the dremel, nice flathead screwdriver and it was like it wasn't stuck at all. I think I may 'notch' them all to be sure I don't have any further issues. Blade-tech was very friendly, but not helpful - first they asked if I had lock-tited it in there as if that was a bad thing(they recommend it), then said just grab it with pliers - I couldn't get a solid hold at all - finally send it back to them and they will get it free...... Thanks for everyone's help
  2. I was trying to formulate this idea as well. Just wondering how wide to cut the slots - then what to use to slip into the slots. I was thinking of a flat blade screwdriver bit, held by vice grips or pliers. It would be helpful to have 3 hands.... Thanks for the ideas and support. John
  3. I just bought one myself. Now I'm prepared for the headache ahead of time. Thanks! Mine is really stuck in there 1) latex glove didn't work for me 2) sandpaper just polished up the screw head! 3) threading a screw/bolt from the other side, didn't work as soon as I started to unscrew the outside screw - the inside one just unscrews as that one is not glued in. I guess I can always drill out the screw, or try cutting a slot in the back nut, but then might have to replace them before using the holster. I have sent Blade-tech an email - hope they have decent customer service - I was really hoping to use this next weekend in my first IDPA shoot, but doesn't look good so far. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  4. The shellplate on my 650 can only be lightly snugged down by hand - no wrench needed - otherwise it won't fully index. I don't know if this is 'normal' I will grease up the ring indexer and cam, and run some more shells through it. It is very hard to determine if it comes up short without brass as the difference is very small, just enough to give high primers, jam shell in station 1 etc. thanks for the advice. John
  5. I am a new shooter and will be starting IDPA at my local club. I purchased a Blade-tech DOH and want to remove the drop down section. The problem, one of the screws on the mount appears to be glued in and the backing rotates freely. Any suggestions? Thanks from a beginner John
  6. I guess I am slow. 1 lb N320 = $22 4 lb N320 = $110 I guess I would buy 5 1 lb containers for $110 instead of 1 4 lb container. J
  7. I am having an issue with my 650. Every 5-10 stroke, the stroke will stop short of and not push the new case far enough, seat the primer enough etc. The is a very solid feel to it as if it has gone all the way to the stop - but doesn't. This happens with multiple caliber conversions, primer setups. I ran a test last night - I hand primed some cases (45 ACP) and removed the decap pin and started loading. When I hit the first issue, I wondered if the primer plunger in station 2 was contacting shell/shell plate etc. So then I removed the primer plunger assembly - and still got the same issue. I will call Dillon if I get home before they close, but wondered if anybody had any ideas? Thanks J
  8. I know just how you feel. One of my bonehead moves was during a changeover, stupid me put the aluminum shell guide on top of the shell plate. (not correct description from my 38/257 caliber conversion) Then raised the platform to change over to large pistol primers and heard a crunch and ding. I looked around to see what popped off and behold a totally mangled guide. I called and the rep just laughed - he said that was one he had never seen, and therefore wouldn't let me pay for it. That is a company I will never stop dealing with and giving my money too! I have been able to give them money by ordering non-reloader parts etc..... Thanks again Dillon!
  9. Hi Gitsen, I have a take-off M2 26" barrel (black) which has been worked over by Rob Melhorn (Benelli guru over here in CA), he added a Hi-Viz CompSight and sprinkled his magic pixie dust on it (some polishing/etc). Had about 200 rounds through it prior to his work and none after. Also has the set of choke tubes and extra Hi-Viz fiber. Please drop me a PM if you're still looking, thanks. If Gitsen isn't interested I may be - what would you be wanting for it? Thanks J
  10. Hello - I am a brand new M2 (tactical 18.5" barrel), and purchased the +3 tube from Cactus. It does fit perfectly and ends just before the barrel. I am having 'worries' about cutting down the spring as it says in the instructions. I did an initial cut to about 16-18" beyond the end of the tube, but only get 5-6 rounds in the tube (should get 8 if the specs are correct - original says 5+1, NC +3....) I have not had it out to function test yet, but am I being overly worried. Should I shoot it a while as it is not, and see if it loosens up? or cut another couple inches off..... Thanks for any help J You will only get 6 with a +3 tube. The "+3" is on top of the base capacity of a M2 which is 3 without any type of extension. 3+3=6. If 6 is hard to get in you can trim your spring a bit. I have an 18.5 M1 and i purchased the +3 and an extended end cap which gives me 7+1 and I can put one on the carrier giving me 8. I guess removing the factory part changed the capacity from 5 down to 3, then added the +3..... I wish that had been clearer, only 1 extra round hardly seemed worth it. I may look for a longer barrel and other extension. Thanks again.
  11. I have shot HSM from Champions Choice 69 g sierra (listed in stock) http://www.champchoice.com/detail.aspx?ID=2323

  13. I am looking for 3 gun matches in New England, and having trouble with net searches etc. I live in central CT, and would really like to meet other shooters etc. Any help is appreciated! (I couldn't find anything with the search function) Thanks John
