  2. Good Morning, Here is our video from Smith & Wesson. http://youtu.be/rrdVpNpyY7U
  3. Good Morning, The saga continues. I honed and polished the chambers and then headed off to the range. The once fired Starline, reloaded using the EGW U die, shot five or six rounds before the cylinder locked up. The range pickup brass loads, also sized by the U die, fired all eight shots but were a little sticky to extract. This load was just over minor in my CZ but I have not chronoed it in the 929. My plan now is to get some 147 or 160 Bayou bullets and load a low speed. low pressure round to see if that solves the problem.
  4. Good Evening, I bought a 929 and I am having problems with it. I shot three moon clips with 9mm reloads from my semi-auto "practice" bin, and 23 went off fine with no extraction problems. I bought 1000 Starline 9mm cases, loaded my standard minor load, 124 gr Berry's and 3.9 gr Clays, on a 650 with a Lee sizing die. After four shots you could not pull the trigger to rotate the cylinder. I could tap the moonclip in and finish shooting eight, but then I would have to tap the extractor with my brass squib rod to get the moonclip out of the gun. I read on one of the other threads about 929 problems and ordered the EGW undersized sizing die. I loaded some more rounds and now I get five shots before the cylinder locks up. I am wondering if the new cases are the problem. My next step is to load a few rounds with my semi-auto brass and see if they still fire. I was also thinking of honing and polishing the chambers.
  5. Good Evening, The stages were fun. It is different as there is no strategy, just shooting skill. Yes we both used 45 ACP N frames but this is probably the last year we will be able to use them as they are changing the rules for 2015.
  6. Good Morning, Here is our video of the BUG Nationals. Joanna finished 3rd revolver Expert and 3rd Lady overall behind Randi Rogers and Julie Golob. I did not fair as well. http://youtu.be/j7e6YJshE7E?list=UUSLOQmADLckqZV2QBU9sfPQ
  7. Good Afternoon, Thank you! We use a XS Sights small dot on the front and Mepro night sights on the rear.
  8. Good Afternoon, Here is our video of Indoor Nationals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TroKVQAd7rs&feature=share&list=UUSLOQmADLckqZV2QBU9sfPQ
  9. Good Afternoon, Someone asked for a video. http://youtu.be/fFPl6mSWg7Y
  10. Good Afternoon, And finally, my BUG Nationals video is done! Happy Thanksgiving!
  11. Good Afternoon, Here is our video of the Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club, Liberty match. 10/25-27/2013.
  12. Good Afternoon, IDPA only allows hand held flashlights. I use a cigar hold with the light between the first two fingers of my support hand. Each target is on its own bullet trap.
  13. Good Morning, Here is our video of our seventh Shoothouse Shootout IDPA match at Academi, formerly Blackwater.
  14. Good Morning, If you have twelve minutes, you can see all ten stages from the USPSA Area 8 Championship.
  15. Good Morning, Does anyone know how many 45/230gr cartridges make up eleven pounds?
  16. Good Morning, To make a low light stage outdoors requires a frame and 6mil black opaque plastic film! You probably will require a flashlight.
  17. Good Morning, There are still slots open for the Beast. There will be eleven stages, including one low light stage. The round count is 130, so it will not make a big dent into your ammo stash! We plan to incorporate swingers, up and downs, out and backs, a clam shell, a charger, some poppers and even a couple of static targets! If you shot or heard about the HARD AS HELLertown matches, then you get the idea.
  18. Good Morning, I am shooting a basement parts gun as well. The 6.5" barrel is from a model 25, the titanium cylinder is from a 325, the frame is a 625JM and the grips are from a model 500. I call it a 25/325/625-500.
  19. Good Morning, Classifiers were updated yesterday. I moved up to A and Joanna came in at a very high C with 58.94%! So Joanna is in good shape going into nationals, while I will have my work cut out for me!
  20. Good Morning, Registration has opened for the Beast of the East. http://www.nepaidpascores.net/2013BOTE/match_08.shtml
  21. Good Morning, We have a tradition of running twelve 18 round stages for our first match of the year at Easton Fish and Game Association, Easton PA.
  22. Good Morning, Joanna and I are going to be shooting 625s exclusively until USPSA revolver Nationals. We will shoot four inch 625s in IDPA and our USPSA 625s (5 and 6.5 inch) in USPSA, ICORE and steel matches. I would like to have two loads to shoot but I do not want to have to change the sights. A quick look at numbers gives me 165 power factor with 230 grain bullets at around 720fps. Using 200 grain bullets with the same speed would be around 145 power factor. This would work out well as some of the local steel matches are limited to 150 power factor. In reality it will be more like the heavy load at 170 and the light load just under 150 power factor. I am assuming that point of impact will be fairly consistent if the bullet velocity is the same. Has anyone done this?
  23. Good Afternoon, Thanks Chris, but I have a long way to go. However, it is a fun journey!
