  1. I got upset with Midway. The last time I placed a primer order, I also ordered powder. They charged me TWO Haz-Mat fees. I contacted them about this and they said it was because these are drop-shipped from different places. I canceled the powder.
  2. I have never shot TG so I'm no help to you. But surely someone here has. It bugs me to see a question go unanswered.
  3. +1 on Precision Moly Bullets Nice helpful folk.
  4. I converted an older TV stand/cabinet that has locking wheels. I can roll it to put it away and bring it out when I need to. After I built it though, I rarely move it, but I could and it is fairly sturdy.
  5. Sorry, volume density not specific density. Take the disk volume, divide it by the weight of the powder it measures. This will be the volume density. Now all you need do is multiply the VMD by any disk volume and it will give you the weight it will throw.
  6. If you know the specific density you can cross reference with another powder of same density.
  7. It has been a long time since shooting anything under 165gr I cannot remember how it would feel. Funny thing is I have small amounts of 165, 170 and 185 grain but no 155gr. So, yes I will run some drills with what I have. Is the 155 a bit like a 147 in a 9mm with same PF? I like the 40cal feel and do not want to loose it all together.
  8. My current loading gives me a 137pf ave. I have no problem building two different loads as long as I can use the same componets (bullet wt). I am just trying to only load one type and weight of bullet. I will most likely shoot more steel than production USPSA. I will not be shooting major with the stock G22 which is what I am loading for.
  9. I quess it would help if I added: I use Solo 1000, a 13lb recoil spring and have been using 165gr bullets.
  10. This is a noob question although somewhat specific. So I hope this is the right topic area. I have noticed that shooting (production) minor PF in USPSA and also Steel people seem to load different bullet weights. Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems USPSA like 165gr to 180gr and steel like lighter bullets at 135gr and 155gr. I only want to load one bullet weight and buy in bulk. SOOoooooooo, In the experienced opinions here, is 155gr the best overall choice or should I go with the 165/170gr? Maybe the 180gr? I will be shooting the black coated bullets in my G22.
  11. Well, at least I have a better understanding of why some people use it. It looks like the majority of folks using the FCD are shooting lead. Of course it may just be that the majority of folks here shoot lead.
  12. Well the precisions came in today. I'll try the same load I use with MG 165gr. In the G22 3.9 gr S1K gives me a 137pf. So, 3.9 gr Solo 1000 170gr Percision Need to go Chrono it now.
  13. I order straight from Lee and yes, pay a little more. BUT, I know I will get the parts fast. To me that is worth the little extra cost.
  14. WOW, I seen Lee has taken a real beating. I am still using a Pro1000. For now it is working very well with the bullet feeder and case feeder. Of course I keep a close eye on everything as I load just in case. I am not real fast with it but it gets the job done.
  15. I guess it is because I have never had issues, but I have never quite understood the need for the FCD. In an autoloaders I just crimp enough to brighten the top of the brass. With that the bell is out and no over crimping.
  16. Yep, I have refused to pay the inflated prices. I did without for months but am now back in the pink. What a crazy year and it is only half over.
  17. Caution is a great thing where needed. But I just do not understand why you have not given it a try and see for yourself. Have some confidence and trust your own assessments.
  18. Do you prefer the 170 over the 180s? I have ordered a little of both to try them out.
  19. Click the "notify me" button at Midway. They will send you an email when they come in. You MUST act fast. I got two emails one or two days ago. I looked 20 minutes after the time stamp on the email and they were sold out.
  20. Do not know your application, but S1250 is more like 3N37; very slow compared to S1000 or N320. Maybe? good with a comp?
  21. I received email notification from Midway last week that Rem SPP had come in. I placed my order and they arrived this week.
  22. It is interesting we never heard back from the original poster. All of this and no response.
  23. If it is an alignment issue adjust the alignment screw under the head. After you turn the screw to where it is aligned, add a 1/4 turn.
  24. Off hand (pun) without seeing you shoot, I'd say it starts with your grip on the gun. From there everything else gets magnified. I have noticed that some people do not seat a Glock well into the web and palm of the hand. In other words if right handed the thumb and lower thumb pad is not far enough to the left of the gun grip. This is more noticeable if you are shooting with the two thumbs forward style of grip as your thumbs will not set properly into each other. BTW: this does not mean the person has small hands, just they are gripping the Glock like they have small hands. My son has size 13 1/2 shoes and hands to match but was making this gripping error with the Glock. If someone has a picture of the two thumb forward grip I'm sure it would be helpful. I don't have one. Hope this is helpful.
  25. Give up, the selfish hoarders have killed the sport. The government did not even have to lift a finger! I am so ashamed and disappointed in many of my fellow sportsman. Maybe by the end of the year it will start getting back to normal.
