  1. Not sure if this is the right place but here goes. Anyone know of a supplier that has Small Pistol Primers in stock? Can't find any anywhere. Thanks Bagger
  2. Not sure if he has to remove any safety. I think the XDm released the firing pin when the barrel is removed. But not sure, didn't get enough time to play with the gun before I sent it to RIch.
  3. My interpretation. Yes. As long as the modification does not result in visible changes to the stock gun. And the factory safeties function normally. Shoot 'em up. Jim So is the trigger job Rich is doing at Canyon Creek on our XDm 's going to be legal?
  4. Tried a thin blade screwdriver, not enough surface. I'll try a old feeler guage and see if I can pry it up that way. The fishing line didn't work. At least I know I'm not crazy. Thanks for the suggestions.
  5. Having trouble getting my safety to release so I can tear it down on my STI Edge. It want release and I can't get a good enough grip on it with my fingers. I have tried using pliers, pull and wiggle, nothing seems to work. Any suggestion It's a ambi safety, I'm trying the left side first, looked on utube found a couple of teardowns, it looks like I'm doing it right. I'm afraid to put too much pressure on it (I've been known to break things) but I'm about ready to start yanking and pulling. Thanks for any help. Steve
  6. If I couldn't get STI, 2nd choice SVI. I have a couple of friends that shoot the Witness and like them but they seem to be very finicky about what type (profile) and OAL of bullet they are using. Seem to have a lot of nose dive problems coming out of the mag. Drives them nuts. My 2 cents.
  7. Clarifying or changing? Either way I'm sure some folks are going to be upset with their decission.
  8. Couldn't find any Winchester primers so I got a brick of Magtech SP No 1 1/2. Has anyone had any issues with these primers. I will be shooting them in my STI Edge 9 mm. Thanks for any reply.
  9. I'm having A and B done to mine also from Rich. I have the same question about the trigger job, hoping to stay in production.
  10. Yep, happened to me last week at the match. Grab another one and keep on going.
  11. Nice, I'm wanting to do the same thing with my XDm .40. I still have question about doing trigger work and keeping it legal for production.
  12. Thanks, I just ordered a thousand 180 gr. and a thousand 165 gr. that will keep me busy for awhile.
  13. Shot some T/G 3.5 grs, OAL 1.125, 180 gr, CT today. Didn't chrono but love the feel of the gun with that load, recoil was great. I also shot 4.0 grs. T/G and really liked that one also. Next time I will chrono my loads. Mainly shot WWB, breaking the gun in today. Shot 500 rounds with the XDm, gun functioned flawless. I've been shooting 9mm's but really like the feel of the 40 cal loads. I may have to retire the Glock.
  14. Most of the books lean to the 1.125 OAL, good question. I can load my STI really long not sure about the .40 yet.
  15. Just got a new XDm .40 cal. and was wanting to know what people have been loading. I have Titegroup, N320, N340, WSF and Power Pistol on hand. I want to start out with a 180 gr. FMJ or SWC. Looking for a light load for steel and then something for major. Been shooting 9mm so the .40 is new to me. Thanks
  16. What are the rules about shooting in Limited with the 9mm Edge 2011? I'm really mixed up about the rules. I mainly shoot steel plates but am thinking about trying different matches. Thanks for any help.
  17. Looking at the STI Edge. I just can't make my mind up on which one to choose. I shoot mostly 9mm now but carry a .40 for CC. I also reload for 9mm and would have to get set up for the .40. I will be shooting steel at the local club and not sure about shooting other matches at this time. Need something to push me over the edge. Thanks for any input. Steve
  18. I'm running a 16.5 lb in my 1911 and it sounds like I really need to go down. Good information.
  19. Good information. I guess the same rules apply to my 1911. Sounds like I need to go down.
  20. Try shooting in the Summer heat here in Texas, it's just plum hot.

    Vanek Custom

    You can't go wrong.
  22. With similar mods my G34 is within weight with a stainless steel guide rod and ISMI spring, according to my postal scale. A tungsten or tungsten extended length pushes it over. As far as the trigger, a Vanek drop-in production trigger should tighten the take up. Curtis Vanek trigger system rules. I installed the Classic Trigger Kit and love it.

Just out of curiosity, which trigger kit, for what division? I got the Classic it's perfect for the club meets. Best money I have spent in a long time.

Wished I would have done it months ago. I didn't think a Glock could have such a smooth trigger. Just as good as my custom 1911. Never looking back.
