  1. Just a heads up! Para Pro Custom 16.40 for $799. Not sure how many they have but are at wise Arms. Looked like a great price so I thought I would share. I have no financial interest. http://www.wisearms.com/products/para-pro-custom-1911-pistol-40-sw-5-16-rd-black Thanks, Frank
  2. Sorry for the off topic question: If I want to convert my Stock 2 to SA, I can just take out the interrupter/disconnector and swap the trigger for a SA trigger right? Thanks!
  3. Oak Hill has Stock 2s for $969 which is not bad. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. How about those ar detent pins? Can't how many of those I've lost to kitchen floor never to be found again.
  5. The mags from my witness match fit the stock 2.
  6. Thanks! I used a piece of a q-tip for a slave pin. Pushed the trigger down until it lined up with the trigger pin. Drove in the trigger pin and out came the slave pin. It works great now.
  7. I did a bunch of work polishing the trigger bar on my Stock II. I reassembled the gun with the trigger pin and spring but after that the trigger does not return very well. I may have put the spring in wrong. What is the right way to install the trigger return spring? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. Hey having one more challenge. The trigger return spring does have positive return. I could have put it back in wrong. The trigger drags a little on the way back. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks so much! Got it. It was a bugger to get back in. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Sorry this may be a dumb question but how does the stock II hammer pin come out? U tried pounding on it but it didn't budge. Whats the secret? Thanks! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. I did take material off the sear leg, possibly I did not take off enough.
  12. I got it working!!!! Had to substitute a set screw for the pretravel screw. Just got back back from the range. Had to make a couple changes at the range but my pistol is running great! Problem solved! Thanks again for all the help!
  13. JMB, yes I may not be machanically inclinded enough! TDH, Yes I was thinking that is what I needed to do. Since I'm not comfortable with counter sinking I will file the head of the screw to gain just a little more pretravel. Thanks All!
  14. If I back out the screw I will have even less pretravel. with the screw all the way in I don't have enough pretravel. With the srew taken out of the trigger completey I have too much!
  15. Yes with it completey out of the gun it works. When I put the pretravel screw in I turn it all the way in. With the screw all the way in there is not enough pretravel.
  16. Witness Match. I installed the tigger. It works perfectly with the slide off the gun. With the slide on the gun racked to charge the the gun, the hammer just stayes back. Another words the slide disengages the trigger bar when raking the slide. I was told I probably I don't have enough pretravel. I took the pretravel screw out and the gun works fine but has way too much pretravel. With the pretravel screw back in the gun it back to the begginning. I have filed the sear leg some. Any help you can give would be welcome!
  17. Just picked up the Para at my FFL! Got it at CDNN (couldn't believe the price either so I snapped it up). I've been waiting for the new 16.40. Not sure when that one will make it out! Fit and finish are great! Trigger is a hair over 4 lbs with just a small amount of travel. If I follow through on the EGW hard sear and disco I will have them fitted to be on the safe side! Thanks for the advice!
  18. I'm picking up a Para Pro Custom 18.9 It comes with an EGW hammer. I would like to pick up and install an EGW hard sear and disco. Any idea if these parts would be drop in since the hammer is EGW or would it be better to have them fit by a Gunsmith? Thanks!
  19. I had a very similar issue, Dillion sorted it out for me. Very frustrating!
  20. Update: I bent the middle leg of the sear spring in slightly and put the gun back together. It runs perfectly now and still has a fairly light trigger! Thanks again!
  21. Thanks for the help! I'm going to try both! I will report back! If I don't get it I will get it over to the gunsmith!
  22. Thanks for the replies! I can take it to a local gunsmith who knows 2011s. I'm just thinking if there is something minor I can do to remedy this that I can try like trying the oem sear etc.
