Tried using the Force today with my Limited gun and got some interesting results. I used an IPSC paper target at 7 yards with a small piece of white tape for an aiming point. Aimed the gun, closed my eyes and gently squeezed the trigger. Opened my eyes and the sights were on the target about 4 inches higher than my shot. Tried twice more with the same result. Tried a double tap, aimed at the tape, closed my eyes and fired twice. The first shot was on the tape and the second was about 4-5 inches higher.
Hmmm! Tried 2 shots with my eyes open, first shot on the tape, the second shot was about 1 inch lower. Double Hmmm!
Nothing like having more questions so I tried using the Force for the draw. I did a few slow draws and the sights were right on the top 1/4 of the A zone. Loaded up and did it for real, sure enough an A hit. YES! Tried 2 more slow draws with the same result. Then I went for the gusto. I'd been averaging 1.10 to 1.15 draws earlier on some other drills. Hit the timer and banged a 1.12 A zone hit with my eyes closed! Look MA, I'm the king of the world!
Well that part didn't raise anymore questions, but I'm going to have to think about the sights not coming back to my aiming point without looking. I've practiced my reloads with my eyes closed, now I'm practicing shooting with my eyes closed, but I think it's going to be a while before I practice shooting on the move with my eyes closed!
