Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I didn't watch the show and just watched the videos on history.com. I'm guessing they didn't show it on TV but at 1:30 of the "Anatomy of the Shot" you can see JJ have an AD as well.
  2. DPMS also has a Lower Parts Kit without the trigger group since you have your own trigger: DPMS LPK w/o Trigger group
  3. This should be the same case: Storm FieldPak Hardigg Product Page I have one of these and while it does have a shoulder strap the strap attaches at almost the same points as the normal carry handle so it is pretty narrow. Works well enough for me though.
  4. here's a pic from BRM3G: Picture No holster or pistol mags during that stage but I don't wear it any differently with those on. Holster on the right hip and a 3-gun gear pouch on the left in front of the AR mags.
  5. I go with 4-5 6 shell holders on a second belt worn above my regular belt. Puts everything a couple inches higher and it helps to clear the overhang. I've dropped some weight and still do the same thing as it's more convenient to be able to take the whole thing off when I don't need it and I like the shell carriers a little bit higher anyway. I've wanted to try the Mark Otto vest but this has worked well enough for me.
  6. I'd kind of like to know how the targets were started and if any of the arms swung at a different speed. It looked to me like two of the plates for Jim, the red/blue combo that he hit, were swinging together at the same speed. It didn't look Jim would have had a chance to shoot it clean as the blue plate would have stayed behind the red.. Maybe that was just stock footage set up to show us the shot though.
  7. That's all you should have to do for it to work. The google search you linked shows mostly setups using Squid which is an actual proxy server and that would require setting up squid on the server side. You don't need that if you're using the ssh server as a Socks proxy. If the ssh server is already setup on the server side, ie you can log in via ssh, then nothing additional should be needed to use the Socks setup. That being said there are instructions in the original links for the socks setup for getting the proxy to do the dns queries rather than your web browser. this is only necessary if you want to make sure that anyone sniffing the traffic can't see the web sites you are going to by looking at the DNS queries.
  8. Thank you. So where would "localhost" go in this: ssh -ND 9999 benos1@brianenos.com ssh -ND 9999 benos1@localhost.com ? be It wouldn't go in either. you use the first command to establish the tunnel from port 9999 on localhost to brianenos.com. This tells ssh to listen on localhost:9999 for traffic and send anything it gets to brianenos.com. Then in your web browser proxy settings you put localhost as the socks host and 9999 as the port. This sends all your browser traffic to localhost:9999 where ssh is listening and it forwards it on to brianenos.com.
  9. There's also Detroit Sportsman's Congress and Livingston Gun Club but they'd be a little further away from you, 25ish miles. you can use the search on wheretoshoot.org and it will turn up a lot of other indoor ranges in your area.
  10. I think that was, "should I stay or should I go?" Looked like he didn't know if he was supposed to be in the shot or not.
  11. My SLP came with an improved cylinder and modified choke as well. I've shot slugs through both without a problem but it grouped better with the IC choke.
  12. I've got the BFG KO on my 05 Tacoma. Really like them. They've done great for me during MI winters and seem fine to me on the highways as well. I think they are a little stiffer ride than the stock tires but I like them a lot better. Plus they got me off the bottom of the hill on Stage 5 at BRM3G without a single slip. This was after I moved back and forth a couple times so a couple trucks wouldn't hit me as they came down the hill sideways.
  13. When you're saying that they aren't lined up is it that the entire shell plate is out of alignment, all 4 cases, or just one wobbles out? If it's all 4 you might try loosening the bolt that tightens down the shell plate so you can feel it click into place a little better. Too tight and you don't get that distinct click. If it's just one then it could be the opposite and the plate is too loose and the case can wobble out in a single station.
  14. On the head I use for loading I have a neck sizing die in the first position. When I loaded the scharch already primed stuff I just removed the stem with the depriming pin and ran it that way.
