  1. I get sound but no picture... unless it was a nightmatch, then damn your flash hiders really work well.
  2. Really would like to know if there has been a change in primer dimensions. I measured 10 of my latest lot of Federal Small Pistol Primers and came up with an average of .121". Since I was out of my old Federal SP primers, I compared Federal Small Rifle Primers (which have always been thicker than SP), I came up with an average of .118". Now a .3" difference in total length for a tray of 100 doesn't seem to be much... it turns out to be just about 3 primers beyond a full dillon pick up tube. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
  3. Joshua, Use a straight file... work on both sides of the magazine. Try and do the entire length of the magazine from below the top taper. The first is the hardest, but once you get an idea of how much to file its just a matter of elbow grease. Don't get too enthusiastic or you'll end up with a +10 magazine. Badkarma
  4. Hey... I'll third the question. Reloading gets tired real fast when your bullet feeding hand develops a cramp.
  5. Joshua is correct... the magazines are thinner on the inside. I had one 10 rounder that not only didn't take take 10 rounds, but also didn't want to drop free. Decided that if all it was going to be was a 9 rounder used to put one in the chamber at the start of the stage magazine... then I was going to experiment on it. Took the magazine apart and took a file to the inside liner of the magazine (gasp!). Filed on both side removing any high spots. Finished with sandpaper and reassembled the magazine. Magazine now loaded with 9 and almost 10 rounds. Repeated 2 more times until the magazine took 10 and just a little more. Magazine now loads much easier, but also drops free. Did the same to my other magazines. Magazines don't seat as easily as my STI, but I don't get sore palms doing a reload anymore. Kinda of radical solution.
  6. Stratochief, Sometimes when the follower gets below the ribs of the magazine enough side to side space is created for the round to slip under the follower. If you check on the Arredondo website he has inserts that fit into the magazince base pads... fingers on the inserts take up the extra space and prevent the round from sliding under. Running Dawson +2 on a 140 length magazine... problem disappeared after putting in the insert.
  7. Rushed home through pauhana traffic (rush hour to you mainlanders) and still no Frontsight. Bummers!
  8. Matt, Hawaii is a ten round state, but like Ray says...we just reload more. To make things even more interesting the rules change from island to island. Here on Oahu, AR-15 are limited to 10 rounds, but on Maui they are not. Oahu tends to have more Mini-14 shooters or my favorite the pistol carbines in 9mm... can you say 32 round sten magazines. ...and I'm sorry if you don't like my name.... but I've been Badkarma for years.
  9. Transition stages make for a fun match. Our State 3 gun match is scheduled for August 30-31 in Sunny Oahu, Hawaii. Most of the stages are combinations. Start out with pistol, end with shotgun. Start with shotgun, move to rifle and finish with pistol.... well you get the idea. We've taken the format of staging guns from the Cowboy action shooters and like the shooters at Superstition mountain, we transition only when the gun you have is empty.
  10. Flex, Not a newbie to Glocks, just preferred my STI for matches, but since we shoot a nightmatch every month, the pain of lost brass was starting to get to me... simple solution shoot a 9 and not worry about the brass I can't find... but the project is shelved unless I can get this pistol to stop throwing brass in my face. Waiting for Tom (NHO) to get back to me... but as I wait. What is the secret? File, bend or change out? Keith
  11. Need help from all you Glock experts.... my model 34 is ejecting fired cases back onto my head. This is really getting to be a pain. Is there any way to change the angle of ejection? The ejection pattern doesn't seem to change with bullet weight ( 115, 124 and 147); reloads or factory. Running the factory recoil spring... anyone know how to solve the problem? Keith
  12. Who does the slide mount (milled) for the Docter Sight?
  13. I have to agree Chriss, if everyone else is shooting 10 in the mag their is no difference in competition. And... if you ever get to Hawaii, the 50th State, despite the heavy regulations... you can shoot an IPSC match every weekend... sometimes 2 with USPSA affiliated clubs. Most shooters are using some form of wide body guns with magazines blocked to 10 rounds. When we make the journey to the Mainland we simply leave out the blocks.... that doesn't mean that we still don't entertain our squad mates with the occassional "Hawaiian reload". There is nothing like the feeling of shooting a stage at the Nationals where you've just engaged 3 targets and moved... only to hear the sound of your 170 mag hitting the ground with 21 rounds still in it.
