  1. I've been looking for one too. The closest I've come is an extra length rod for the G34 & 35. Midway has them. The illustration shows a captured rod but it's uncaptured. Midway ElrodCod - I really like the look of that GlockWorx rod you linked to at Midway for my G34. What kind of springs would I use for that - standard ISMI springs for a Glock, or would I need something longer? Thank you for posting that. I'm going to use a G17 17 lb ISMI flat wire spring and go from there.
  2. It seems like it should be easy enough to make one from a long ¼" stainless bolt. If you do this and it works, please post directions or better yet sell me one. Do you price match? A 6" long bolt{$.91) would be cutting it close because about 1" of that is threaded. The next size is 10", plenty long enought but they're $5.71. I ordered two for $17.69 shipped. I'll try at making one & let you know how it turns out.

  5. That seems counterintuitive. How does a lighter recoil spring reduce muzzle flip?
  6. Were they KCI or Kahn? The G19 mags that I got from CDNN were KCI.
  7. It's neither cool nor juicy because he's wrong. Anyone that field strips a Glock and bothers to take a close look at the underside of the slide will clearly see that it's a machined piece and not a stamped piece of sheet steel.
  8. (With the minor added clarification that Glock slides aren't machined to shape, they're formed by bending a piece of sheet steel over a mandrel.) You're thinking of the made in Germany SIG slides. No way the Glock slides are sheet steel. I'm sure that Mr Thomas knows his subject matter. Edited to say what I actually meant. I'm not so sure. Perhaps you should allow Mr. Thomas the privilege of speaking for himself by providing the source of his information. I've found the following: From http://www.remtek.com/arms/glock/model/9/19/index.htm "Rectangular in shape, the slide is milled from bar stock using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery." Patrick Sweeney also says that they're milled from barstock in his Glock book. Chuck Hawks says on his website (http://www.chuckhawks.com/glock17_22_31.htm). "All Glock pistols have polymer receivers with molded-in steel slide rails. The slide is machined (not stamped) from solid steel, and most of the internal parts are also steel."

  10. It's already been reported on GT that the RTF2 will only be available to LE.
  11. Wearing holes in cover garments?????????? Too harsh????????????Interfering with shifting your grip?????????? You guys are talking about the plastic framed rtf2 Glocks right? C'mon...........get real. Those little bumps on my Gen 3 G19 rtf2 aren't gonna wear out anything.
  12. "Relative position" isn't a part; internal, external, or otherwise. As long as the trigger itself is unmodified your GTG.
  13. 21.5 Exchange of minor INTERNAL components (strikers, sears, springs, connectors/disconnectors, and other wholly-internal parts) INTERNAL parts: This clause is NOW interpreted to mean that a broad range of INTERNAL parts may be modified or replaced – either with OEM or aftermarket parts. Special Notes/Clarifications: • Strikers, sears, springs, connectors/disconnectors, and any other part which is NOT visible when the gun is in battery is considered an INTERNAL part and may be modified or replaced unless otherwise prohibited in these provisions (see section 22 for specific prohibitions). • Guide rods are considered an “internal part” and may be modified and/or replaced with OEM or aftermarket guide rods even though part of the guide rod is externally visible when the gun is in battery. Note that the weight limits in D4-18 remain in force and relevant.
  14. It cams back the striker an additional .018". IMO it's the consequence of the geometry of the pivoting sear/striker tab rather than an intended effort to make it DAO. Any claim to it being DAO more than likely involves some IPSC lawyering. If you go back to when the XD came on the scene you'll see what I mean. XD shooters couldn't compete head to head against Glock shooters in production class. The Springfield XD which is marketed as a single action does the same thing except it's about .012" in that case.
  15. I wouldn't sell it. I'd get a 40 S&W barrel for it instead.
