  1. Don't spend too much time on this one. 5 minute procedure under local anesthetic, reasonable commonsense recovery, get on with your life.

You can spend lots of time and money on "alternative" treatments for this simple anatomic problem.

The getting on with your life part is the "catch".

He is a Power Lifter and Dry Fires a lot.

First question my doctor asked was "any activities requiring a lot of Grip?"

Surgery is a last option for me as I don't want to risk numbness in my fingers and I don't want to do anything to change my range of motion/fine motor skills.

I have problems in my wrists, shoulders, back, knees, one hip, feet.

They are all from repetitive motion, holding grips a long time (Stick fighting, boxing, grappling, breaking boards when i was a dumb kid, guitar, drums for me).

15 years ago I was having SEVERE trouble that was keeping me from working.

Now I am able to keep it in check without having to be on a daily dose of CELEBREX.

I have a good friend that has had two knee surgeries (same knee) has a fracture in his elbow that can't be fixed and just had surgery on his wrist to repair tendons.

We have to learn how survive our hobbies and jobs :)

I hear ya. Real life feedback is typically, "Wish I had done that sooner" not "I really should have stuck with the massage/medications/PT/copper bracelets/special gloves."

    I'm just sayin'...

  2. Not a big one, but a big deal to me because the press won't run without it:

I'm one of those idiots that keeps trying to decap cases that have corn cob media in them, and I end up with a bent decap pin.

Well, I tend to bend it so far it won't back out of the retaining cap. Even if I break it off (PS: Anyone got a trick for this?)

I just called Dillon to place an order for a new one and Dennis answered -- said he would just send me a couple.

Awesome customer service. I would buy another press from them if I needed one - just cause they're great folks.

Actually, I'm sure I could find a use for one...

  3. "why" is the question I would ask myself. Any advantage to 168 over 171-3?

Most people like to stay around 171-3 anyway just because of the safety factor.

I started to chrono at 165.x-168 at the last few matches after changing my barrel. I'm going UP a tenth. The chrono is one stage I don't want to stress.

My .02 which is also, I think, CW.

Also, I probably wouldn't notice the difference between .05 grains of VVN320. I can't even measure hundys.

  4. Interesting ....... very pointed responses, yet they still don't seem to understand. Price dictates about 90% of what I buy.

Disapointing they can't get their prices in line with their competition. Especially when it's something a common carrier, not the vendor itself, is providing.

Maybe they don't get as good a rate from the shipper. Can't shippers like UPS and FEDEX charge different amounts based on your volume with them or something?

As an aside, do you have to have a dealer account to appreciate Brownell's? They always seem a little higher than others when I look. Haven't checked shipping though. (serious question not intended as a knock)

  5. I can't imagine you'd actually be disappointed by the sound quality going headphone to aux using a standard M to M 3.5mm

True. You're probably right. However it can't charge. That's the other part. And when I've tried hooking up both the charger and the headphone to aux, the charging seems to override the headphone sound. I think. It's been awhile but I'll try it again.

With the Pocket Dock (above) is there a way to go from the USB to the power jack to charge in a car? I know the Apple cord can go USB to standard AC for charging in the house. Nevermind! Found it. I may try this one

Thanks for the ideas so far - keep 'em coming, please :D

  6. Basically, I've read sound output is best from the 30 pin on the bottom of the iPhone rather than the headphone jack, and my car has a 3.5 auxiliary jack (like a headphone jack) so I don't need an FM transmitter.

Does anyone have a device that does this, or read about one I could get? I've been searching on the internet, found something called Kensington Liquid AUX, but can't tell if it is currently being made, or iPhone 4 compatible.

Anyone? I really don't care about using it as a phone. Just want to play my music.

    Thanks!
