"he maybe using lead." right on bulm540. flex, do you think it was the 133gr lead (unjacketed) heads that was wrong? i was actually getting 1663fps at the range chrono. it was mid-90's in temperature that day. had a new schuemann 4port hybricomp installed 2 weeks prior to the shoot. thanks again guys

any ideas if this is even possible? i have 3 extra barrels that i've changed thru through the years from my 38s open gun. can i reuse them by having it rebored to 40sw and even use my old slides, since it is already pre-fit, to go with the barrel? thanks for inputs

sorry flex, yap i did a search as you said but didn't get what i'm looking for anyways, STI open 38S schuemann 4 port hybricomp 5 port comp 4 side ports in the recent shoot that i attended, i used 9.2 grains of SP2 with 133 grain head. whoa, PF of 217.4 how about giving me a fresh start by giving me a mixture brew with OAL, head weight and powder weight. thanks in advance

this is an old post but let me try to revive this because I just started using vectan sp2 for my open gun. I previously used V3n37 but i got so much gunk in my hands and face after a shoot so I looked around for a replacement. can someone share his load for the SP2? i know i can just do trial and error until I get the best load matched to my gun but hopefully with replies from this forum I can go a bit faster with the T&E looking forward to your loads

ok here's another question. for a super 38 schuemann hybricomp barrel (that's 4 holes), what would be the best comp design to make it shoot IPSC 163-165 PF? and what OTC comp can also be used? slide is stock except for the rear serrations and the cut for the schuemann barrel.

thanks man. i hope i can get this right. i'm not one who's really into the mechanical workings of a gun. i just ask my 'smith to do things for me, but this "slack" / "take up" of my trigger is one thing i'd like to learn for myself since it's sort of an easy job

hi there. i've been a long time member of this forum but have just been lurking around. also have the BOOK and it had helped me with the way I look at shooting. anyways, have stopped with the sport for a few years now but am trying to get back into it now. just a question for the moment though. i need to adjust the trigger slack of my sti open gun. i'm satisfied with the trigger pull but I just want to experiment with the slack. how would I go about it?

hi guys. any idea if a 38 super slide can be reused to change my top end to a 40sw?

guys help me on this. last sunday I shot a club level shoot here in my province in the Philippines. This was after almost 4 years of self-imposed restraint of going back to the range and the sport. what happened was on my last stage, shooting fast taps just to reacquaint myself to my gun again, I shot a dud, to which I never had the chance to control the next shot I made that resulted in my barrel getting broken/halved lengthwise. (i shoot an sti open-gun, 4 ports schuemann hybricomp, 7 port comp). even my c-more scope got broken :( anyways, my problem is I need a replacement for my hybricomp barrel. there's none available currently here in the capital so I'm looking toward your shores. here's hoping someone could point me to a store where I could have one ordered (online). i've got a friend coming over from orlando florida the first week of september and I would like him to bring the item home for me. thanks in advance.

so Pat, what would be a good recoil spring for an open 38 super?

from almost a two year absence from the sport, i recently got myself reactivated. i noticed something different lately when i dry fire. if i use my strong hand(right) the dot's bouncing when i depress the trigger but if i use my weak hand, the dot's steady... i know it's on the way i depress the trigger (squeezing), but why is it that it happens only when i use my strong hand? also, i loaded up a bunch of n350 a couple of days ago for my practice. the problem is for every slow deliberate shot that i make, i blink my eyes involuntarily. for every fast twin taps, i blink once. this never happened when i use 3n37. what seems to be wrong here guys?

hi guys, i did a drill on double taps yesterday on three targets spaced 1.5 meters in between at a distance of 15 yards... my shots on the left are on the same level on any zone and spaced by at least 3 inches in between. . . (like this) and the second shots i make on the center lie on the same vertical plane with spaces of 4 inches . (like this) . or sometimes it doesn't even score a hit. with the rightmost target, i get what we call the snake eyes... what seems to be the problem???
