If you have lots of time to kill check out the web site: http://www.engrish.com They have a revolver t-shirt for sale. I'd get it but its just a little too over the top. Louis
  2. I use the S&W 627 .38 super 5.5" gun. I just put on the Arredondo muzzle platform last night and with the platform oriented so the screw is above the platform it was long enogh that I needed to move the revolver spacer up by a screw hole. Louis
  3. I have had a pact IV for a number of years and have been mostly happy with it. At a recent three gun match it's ability to handle par times over 99.9 seconds came in handy. It seems some of the more compact timers can't handle this. The only problem I have is that the keypad to circuit bourd contact points need to be cleaned periodicaly to keep it working. Do the newer ones still have this direct to circuit board keypad design? The size seems to be based on holding a circuit board with large dip packaging and lots of discrete components. Does anyone know if the elctronics have been updated? Modern electronics should be able to do the same thing in a much smaller package. Louis
  4. As a follwup to my post starting this thread I ended up getting the holster from Speed Shooters International. They had them in stock and with ordering it on Monday I was able to use it the next weekend. I am finally getting the kind of draw I want with the revolver. One thing to look out for is that CR makes two different length revolver holsters, a 4-5" model and a 5-7" model. The one SSI had was the 4-5" model which worked out fine for me. The other thing about the CR revolver holster is the the muzzle cup is a large one with labeling for Glock 20/21. I am going to change that out for the Arredondo muzzle platform. Louis
  5. I fixed the notch wear on my CRTC mags with a bit of JB weld. I just put a bit on and filed it to shape. So far no wear and it hasn't come off. Louis
  6. I have one of the S&W .38 super revolvers. It is set up for limited, with the muzzle cover screwed on instead of the comp. Last night when I was cleaning it, I noticed that the muzzle piece was loose. This got me thinking. The muzzle does not have exposed threads, so it is not protecting that. Is there any reason to put it on? Louis
  7. I just shot my SVI after a couple months of shooting only revo in IPSC matches and practice. The thing I noticed was that I seem to be better at tracking the front sight as it moves up and down in recoil. The amount of muzzle flip shooting major in an SVI was so much less than the flip in the revolver. Louis
  8. If you missed last nights Monster Garage, you missed one of TVs finest moments. They had converted a Mazda RX7 for racing in the sand. Unfortunately it lost the race at the end of the show and needed to be destroyed. So, Jesse rides in with a Dillon (yes, they said Dillon) mini-gun mounted on top of an SUV. By the time he was done the car had holes ripped everywhere. They started shooting during the day and then had a second night shoot. Definately must see TV. Louis
  9. Does anyone know of a dealer in the US with the CR speed holster for revolvers in stock. Thanks, Louis
  10. I have one of the Accuracy Speaks uppers. Mine is set up to match my Hi-Power rifle. It is accurate and works well for off hand practice at the local indoor range. It does require an occasional wipe down of the bolt face (only after several hundred rounds). The only other problem I nad was that federal 711 ammo was erratic enough on the power that it would sometimes double. This ammo had also given me problems with two of my pistols, so it shouldn't be considered a problem with the rifle. Louis
