  1. Ordered some from CDNN last week. They were 18/mag. Guy said after these were sold out the new arrivals would cost more. Apparently Glock is raising prices by almost 40%.
  2. Ordered one from JP. Viking tactics was also out (rifle length). JP should be getting their backordered parts in the next few weeks.
  3. Looking at getting the JP trigger. Do most people get the full Fire control kit (ie trigger, hammer, and pins) or get just the trigger and springs? Any advantage/disadvantage between the two? My goal is a light, crisp trigger with maximum reialiblilty, and least chance of getting light primer strikes. Thanks.
  4. I've been looking around but seems like everyone is out right now. Anyone know where I can buy a JP rifle length handguard that is in stock right now? Thanks.
  5. It was set up like Times Two but the targets were all in ONE line. I looked on USPSA but couldn't find it.
  6. I recently shot a classifier where you had 2 boxes somewhere around 15 feet apart laterally. There were 6 targets in front of the boxes somewhere around 15 feet away (not sure about exact distances), 3 in front of the left box, 3 in front of the right. You had to start in box A, engage targets 1-3, then run to box B and engage targets 3-6, no reloads required. Anyone know what this classifer is called?
  7. Derek, I bought a bunch of those cases also right before he quit the business. Right now I'm using Ramshot Competition but am about to run out. What powder are you using/did you use with these bullets? Thx.
  8. Had the same problem. Sent it to Eotech and they fixed it. They actually even upgraded it to the newest electronics in the optic all for free. You may want to give them a call.
  9. May want to send them to HSMITH. I have a set of his .40 mags and all hold 20 rounds reloadable.
  10. Went from SVI grip to STI. I took a little off the plunger and now the MSH all works fine. But, the trigger is all screwed up. I think the leafs are not matching up like they were in the other grip. The trigger moves freely but with the hammer cocked it doesn't have any take up, just pull a liitle and the hammer falls. Also, if I pull the trigger and hold the trigger down, then rack the slide it won't reset. Any ideas? Thanks.
  11. I've got a new grip. The return plunger (think that's what its called) fit fine in the old grip but is VERY tight in the new grip's MSH. (By return plunger I'm talking about the piece that is directly pushed down by the hammer, it can be seen looking directly into the MSH) Question: Should I try to bore out the MSH of the new grip to fit this return plunger? If so, how is the best way to do it? Are there different size return plungers? Should I try to shave off metal from my return plunger to fit the MSH? Thanks for the help.
  12. I'm looking for somewhere to get black or blued S_I screws for the grip (front and grip). I've looked at the regular retailers (shooter's connection, etc) and only find STI silver/chromed screws. Tried to call Shooter's connection today to ask but the number wasn't working. Anyone know where I can find a black set? Thx.
  13. I'm not sure what you mean. From the inside of the grip (where the magazine is inserted) is the metal of the bushing going to be flush (flat) against the metal of the frame? If not it looks like the magazine might rub against the bushing. The bushings are really tight going back into the holes. Thanks again.
  14. I'm trying to get the grip back on my SV. When I took it off I had to tap the bushings out of the grip. I didn't pay attention to how they were configured. Are they supposed to be flush with the metal on the inside of the grip? They seem to be very tight and are not fitting flush from the inside. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  15. I find that with the 1911 the grips aren't as important as the front strap and MSH. I prefer 20 lpi front strap checkering and 20 lpi on the MSH. This provides a SOLID grip for high speed shooting with the .45.
  16. I bought a 550 about 5 months ago from Brian Enos. I've churned out around 8K rounds through it so far and have been very pleased. It's my first reloader and I found it very easy to learn on. Now I can load up 200 round before a match in less than 30 minutes. The only regret that you will have is that you didn't buy one sooner.
  17. OAL 1.200. But, I need to chrono again. First time I used the chrono it was about 55 degrees outside. I chrono'd again in 35 degrees and it shot FASTER. As soon as it warms up again I'll chrono and give an updated report. I usually shoot in 90+ degree weather so it may shoot slower at that temperature. OK. I pulled out the chrono the other day, (about 65+ degrees) and got 171-174 PF using 4.3 gr, 1.200, Wolf primers, mixed brass. I'll update again when the weather gets hotter. I'm tempted to try Clays but don't want to blow up my only Limited blaster
  18. .110 You can get one from Shooter's Connection. It's a good compomise. I find that the larger sight doesn't provide enought light for speed and the smaller sights to be too narrow.
  19. Ed Vandenberg (Vandenberg Customs) in Houston,Tx. Lots of work done on my guns and always top notch.

  21. Yeah, I bought around 14K Masterblaster 180gr right before they went out of business. They recommended starting with 4.5gr Ramshot Competition and working up or down from there.
  22. 180gr masterblasters 4.3 gr Ramshot Competition 5 inch barrel 173-175 powerfactor.
  23. The one just smaller than 1/16. I actually just got finished switching out the insert a little while ago. I used the method of taking out the mag release and then screwing in the overtravel screw until the insert could be removed. The insert was very easy to remove with finger pressure only. The new long, flat trigger feels great. I'll try to post some pics in the next few days.
  24. How do you change out just the trigger insert in a SVI trigger? (switching from curved to flat) Do you have to take out the whole trigger or is there a better way to do it? Thanks.
  25. What power factor do you guys usually load to? I know most people do not aim for 165 but a little over, just wondering how much over. Presently I'm shooting 173-175.
