  1. I have a Gen 3 Glock 35 and use a Wolf Dist. Conversion barrel down to 9mm. I don't change anything else other than the magazines to 9mm, and have never had an issue with it. I also use a Storm Lake barrel in .40 for competition. The actual opening in the slide is larger on the .40's, so a conversion barrel is a must!
  2. I carry a Glock 23 usually, and was using it to shoot IDPA for a little over a month, my mindset was shoot what you carry. The problem I ran into is that I left it at home once and drive the hour to a match only to realize I didn't have it with me. Another shooter let me borrow his Glock 17, and I loved the way I shot with it. So what I did was get a Glock 34 to replace the 23 as my IDPA gun, and I will also be shooting the 34 in other matches locally. The 23 is back being my dedicated carry gun, and this is where it will stay. I also have a Glock 35 that I used in USPSA Limited a while back. I will be keepoing it handy for that purpose if I start USPSA again.
  3. I have decided to go the Leatherwood route. Who stocks them and has a great price? I found SWFA has a good deal with a PEPR base. SWFA's deal
  4. About how much did this set-up run you. It looks perfect for three gun shooting.
  5. I have been reading up on these a lot the last couple of days. I would be interested in seeing your pictures and also, list any changes you have done to it. I was thinking of getting the 930 SPX (85360) for use in local 3 gun competitions and home defense. I realize a lot of you are serious 3 gunners, and USPSA shooters, but I don't think adding a 22 inch barrel would do me a lot of good. Am I wrong?
  6. Vanek replaced the connector, but when I got it back, I didn't mess with trying this or that. I just added it to my 34 and pressed on.
  7. Does Jerry actually shoot his with a 18" barrel and muzzle break on it? Or has he switched to a 22" non-ported barrel?
  8. I got the SpeedFeed IV installed today and I must admit, I don't like it. But I am going to give it a try in a 3 gun match on 9 April. If it isn't what I want, I will throw it up for sale locally.
  9. I just picked up a barely used Glock 34 Gen 3 from Armslist.com. Might be a good place to start. If none are for sale, post an add looking for one. Be specific about what it is you are looking for. I wanted a like new 34, and that's what I got. only slight wear on the front edge of the barrel.
  10. Yvette, I shot my first 3 gun last weekend using a Mossberg 500. Since then I am working to make my 500 more 3 gun friendly. If Mossberg makes the 930 in 22" non-ported I will buy two today! I am not much of a shotgun shooter, but 3 gun is the most fun I have ever had with clothes on! Thank you for helping your customers. And we also thank Mossberg for getting involved in 3 gun.
  11. If the SpeedFeed isn't what I like, I may get a synthetic comb style stock for it. Realizing the 500 isn't well suited for a pistol grip stock.
  12. I plan to shoot it as it is now for a while. I doubt I will get serious about 3 gun in the near future. I did open up the magazine well a bit to expedite loading and have ordered a few things to help me have more rounds on the gun. I do plan to replace the Blackhawk compensating stock, as I think it is enducing more issues than it is fixing. I am not sure if a SpeedFeed IV will solve them or not, but I am looking at one used to try out. If that doesn't solve my issues, I will be going back to the original telescoping ATI stock.
  13. I shot both the Glock 34 and 35 today to make sure I had no trigger issues, they both shot very well, so I am happy. Since I bought the 34 to replace the 35 and 23 in IDPA, I am now GTG! BTW, I love this Vanek trigger setup!
  14. Yes everything was swapped into the 34. The 35 has very little wear, maybe 2k through it, and I see nothing abnormal. I put my R. Sotelo trigger kit back into the 35, and it works as it should. I would send the 35 frame back to Glock for examination, but I stippled the frame a few years ago.
  15. I suppose it could be the striker, as I had replaced the original with a Jager striker, however, when I put the 34 upper on the 35 lower, it still had the issue.
  16. I received my Vanek trigger back today, and am having the same issues with it. It simply doesn't reset 100% of the time. Any other trigger I put into this pistol works fine. As luck would have it, today I bought a new Gen 3 Glock 34, stuck the Vanek trigger into it, and it works like a dream. I have no idea why it won't work in the 35, and at this point don't care. I now have them both shooting great!
  17. I will be going with a Burris PEPR or LaRue mount, cost of mount is not included in my post.
  18. I am looking for something to replace an aimpoint Comp M3 for 3-gun competitions. I know very little about what people are using on the lower end, and cannot justify $800 for a scope right now.
  19. As the title says, I am looking for an inexpensive 3 gun scope for my AR. I have looked at a couple, and haven't found what I am looking for yet.
  20. I plan on shooting it for a while. Although this time I think I am taking my red dot off, and shooting with the bead front only. I am also going to open up the magazine opening for faster loading. I already stippled the firearm a bit. The only thing I really wish is that this was an 8-9 shot, instead of only 6.
  21. Wasn't there a post here somewhere where the guy airbrushed a Glock, AR and his multi-gun gear with aliens or zombies?
  22. Post pics, or just a brief list of things you have done to your Mossberg 500 for use in Multi-gun.
  23. I was talking about 3-gun gear's nylon and velcro side saddle that you described. I would rather have plastic on the side of the gun, I think the rounds come off better. I would like to get a few of the shell caddies too.
  24. I shot my first three gun competition this past weekend, and did OK. I really need to find a way to load the shotgun faster, as I feel it was the one area where I was weak. I used a Beretta 92FS for my pistol, and shot it amazingly well. It was the first time I used this pistol in a competition, btu I shot it for years int eh military. I used a homebuilt Mega billet AR, with 5.56mm 16 inch BCM mid-length barrel, and Troy Battlerail. For shotgun I used a Mossberg 500, with Knoxx stock and Surefire Light foreend. After the match I stippled the grip area of the foreend, as I felt I was slipping around too much. What is available to help me load the shotgun faster. I saw the 8 shell arm loaders from 3 gun gear, and am interested in a shell holder for the left side of the receiver also, but cannot find one made of plastic, I won't do nylon at this point. Are there other options?
