  1. WOW That this is just begging to be shot at something. How far did the bowling ball travel with 120psi, I didn't see it land.
  2. Sounds like your not getting it fully back in to battery after the chamber check.
  3. I've run 140 Bear Creek molys with 4.3 Solo 1000 and it shot good out of my Glock. Ran ~970FPS.
  4. I see what you your talking about on the mount. It would make for a cleaner install if the cut fit the contour of the sight, and might not get into the plunger spring hole. Looks like it sets the dot very low and leaves your sight dovetail if you want to add a slide racker. I've been thinking about putting a dot on my G35 and playing in open for a while. Looks like it would be fun.
  5. My HF was 5.141 in production. Calc put it at 82% and USPSA has it at 62%. Looks like they are a little off on this one.
  6. Looks nice. How does it shoot and how do you like the sight?
  7. Welcome. Lots of shooting in central Texas.
  8. Looks good. Does it provide a good grip?
  9. If you tried new mags already I would look at ammo. What ammo are you using?
  10. Glad to hear no damage to you. From the manuals I have it doesn't look like you are even close to max for AA5. I would guess either bullet set back or double charge. The lock out die should help prevent a double charge, but you may want to check your case tension to ensure you aren't getting bullet set back. I have never used AA5 so I don't know how possible it is to get a double charge with it. Hope you figure out whats going on so it doesn't happen again.
  11. I've loaded a lot of moly bullets and never noticed anything like that. I would try some gloves.
  12. Exactly where are you seeing the results, I must be missing them. Looks like Timmy beat me to the answer on this one, He is correct.
  13. USPSA sight already has some scores posted and there are some pics in the nationals section here.
  14. I have a PT 1911 and had a couple of problems with mine. It shot 4-5in hi or low(don't remember which now) at 50ft. I sent it in and Taurus replaced the barrel, It shoots very good now. The other issue, light strikes, showed up after shooting 2-300 rds. The shop I bought it from had a local gunsmith look at it and this was something to do with the firing pin safety, He fixed it and have not had this problem again. With that being said, after those issue were fixed the gun has went through a few thousand rounds of practice and shooting it in single stack with no issues. The gun is accurate and feeds reliably. For the money I still think they are a good deal, but I think if you consider resale value also you will find Springfield, Kimber, STI easier to get money back on if you decide to sell. Bob
  15. DocMcG - Glad I could help. Jeeper90 - 3.2 or 3.3 of clays behind a Berry's 180 @ 1.135 AOL worked pretty good for me and is a very soft shooting load. It gave around 135pf and shot good out of my Glock with 13lb spring. Titegroup would work good also but I don't have any specific loads to share. The other powders you listed I have no experience with, hopefully someone else will chime in on those.
  16. I have been using a G35 for a few years and have shot a lot of minor loads. Although I haven't used the 170 Precisions I have used a lot of 180 and 185 moly coated and they shoot very soft, so I would guess the 170 would work pretty well also. I am currently running 3.2 Solo 1000 behind a 180 Bear Creek moly and it runs about 135 pf and is plenty accurate for our game. I have used Titegroup and Clays also with good results in minor loads but TG is very smokey and I have moved to Solo 1000 because it also works good in 40 and 45. Hope this helps.
  17. I started with a G23 because it was what I had. It worked out good to get started and I still have it if I need a back up or carry gun. After about 6 months I decided to move up to a G35 and am still using it over 3 years later.
  18. All mags used during a stage either go in a pocket or in my hand until it gets reloaded. That way I know if it's still on my belt it's loaded and if it's not it needs to be loaded. Simple and works for me.

  20. How many did you shoot through the chrono? It does sound off. Plated should be the same as lead, so they should be around a 145.... As far as sub minor, what was the actual reading? Two 10 round strings. 650fps average with a huge SD and ES, I don't have those numbers in front of me but I know they were kind of on the ridiculous side. I think I just have a bad chrono. Couple of things I would try, Change the battery in your Chrono and move it further away from your shooting position. Both of these have given me odd readings.
  21. I had this problem with an aftermarket 3.5 connector a few years ago, during a match no less. After several attempts to figure out the issue I changed out the connector for a different one and it's worked ever since.
  22. Placed an order for tru-grip a month ago and have not received them or gotten a response in email.
  23. If you want to shoot this match you need to get your registration or an email in to the match director soon. We currently don't have very many signed up and if we can't get enough entries we'll have to cancel the match. Hope to see you there.
  24. Try moving your chrono screens farther from your shooting position. Sometimes with lead bullets the smoke messes with the sensors if there too close.
