  1. Nice pistols! I know you said your frame is aluminum but does it have steel rail inserts? Also do you know if you can order them with steel frame / grip?
  2. Beautiful Pistol, don’t see many of these around anymore
  3. Narrowed it down. Dillon Super 1050 vs RL 1100. What are the major differences and which is better? Mainly will be loading 9mm
  4. Aftec have not been in stock anywhere for a while. I found a company Eemann Tech that makes a similar extractor. I’m in a middle of a build and was thinking about ordering one. Maybe someone on this forum has experience with the Eemann Tech extractor that can give some feedback
  5. Have not tried the 507 Comp but I did recently get a FTP Alpha 3 and I’m really liking it so far. I’m a big fan of the Alpha 3’s reticle size options and brightness settings. Listed battery life isn’t close to the Holosun’s but they appear to have similar glass size & shape and cost about the same
  6. I’ve been subscribed for a while, but haven’t seen anything in a while pop up on my feed. I’m gonna have to check it out once I get the kids to sleep
  7. Pretty sure I’d like to go with a Dillon, I’m just not sure what model
  8. Thanks for all the great information. I’m going to run & compare them side by side and see what I time better with. This will be my first year shooting competitively so I don’t really have any preferences yet
  9. Yeah the ejection issues are my main concern & then height over bore. Thinking the higher optic isn’t that big of a deal for competitions as the target distances are close enough to not have to worry of hold overs and POI relative to POA. Main issue with the Romeo 3 Max would be the distracting blue tint
  10. So I have my first “race gun” on the way, a STI DVC Steel. It is setup to run factory minor loads but with a heavier spring can run major also. The plan is to shoot some steel matches this year and I like to get into Reloading. Just started looking up all the information that’s out there. What’s a good setup for reloading 9mm and maybe some .223 later on. Don’t see myself loading more than 1k - 2k rounds a month. Not just looking to save money on ammo, mainly as a hobby & load development. What manufacturers & model’s should I be looking at and any good instructional DVD’s out there? Recommendations appreciated.
  11. Looking to pickup my first Rimfire Pistol and want the best performing & reliable 22lr pistol on the market. From my limited research, Volquartsen looks like my best bet. What are the other top options that I can compare it to? Wanting a 22 optic ready pistol for when I take out family & friends for plinking that are new to shooting but also something that I can use for rimfire steel competitions. Are there any other 22’s are out there that can compete with the Volquartsen Scorpion or Mamba?
  12. Just logged in and somehow posted again. Im trying to figure out how to delete this post
  13. So I’m about to pull the trigger on my first open style pistol. It is used and comes with the SIG Romeo 3 Max 6 moa. I was originally planning on getting the Aluminum body 8 moa C-MORE Slide Ride for steel challenge and eventually other competitions. Does anyone have experience with both dots? What are the pro’s & cons on each and which would you prefer for competition?

  15. Beautiful work. Love the Steel Master and the DVC Steel. The T1 Trubor is the best short comp for factory loads
  16. Dawson mag release will be smoother but the stock one will also break in. EGW makes top of the line parts and they pretty much made an entire lineup of parts that were made specifically for the Prodigy. I swapped out the Ignition kit, slide stop, & thumb safety’s for EGW’s and then replaced the trigger with the Atlas geppert and the guide rod with Atlas’s tool-less guide rod. I would also recommend either staccato or atlas mags if you were thinking about purchasing more for competition and keep the Prodigy Dura Mags for practice and range
  17. Yeah they said everyone’s eyes are different. My vision was horrible but they said along with correcting my near sightedness, my astigmatism would be better but they couldn’t guarantee. I was surprised how much better my eyes were after the procedure. Now only the 1 MOA dots burst alittle but 2 MOA or larger are almost perfect dots. Before LASIK they all were or and the chevron reticles had me seeing double
  18. Anyone else get LASIK just to clear up their annoying red dot starburst. Bonus is being able to drive at night again
  19. Been on 1911 addicts & Reddit for a while, but new to this forum. Love shooting my 2011’s but thinking it’s time to start competing and already started to search for my first (old & used) open pistol.
