Lead poisoning isn't just for shooters anymore! I have a friend who shoots and reloads, who brought his cat into my clinc with gastroenteritis and severe neruological signs including seizures(I'm a veterinarian, Dogged, get it?). After taking a history and finding out that the cat liked to lie down on bullet fragments collected from a bullet trap, I ran a lead blood levels which were off the chart. We bathed the cat getting off a tremendous amount of lead "dust" and started the cat on injections to chelate the lead out of the blood. The cat did well and we both got more careful with realoding. This was several years ago and I don't have the lead levels on record that far back but it was a very interesting case. Bottom line, keep the cat away from the reloading bench, also don't bathe like a cat does, it's inappropriate and dangerous.

Fellas, The scheuling is killing me. I missed last year's Classic because my son graduated high school and this year my daughter is graduating college. All this education is killing my shooting schedule. You guys put on a GREAT match and I sure hope to make it next year! Jon

I replaced the worn out cylinder stop on my S&W second model Schofield last year with one I made from a steel file. The oringinal is the lower one in the photo, the homemade one is above. Based on that I'd replace at least every 130 years or so

I use 4.5 gn of American Select behind a 180 gn lead bullet to get 170 pf with a 6 1/2" 610.

Really really wish I could be there but my son graduates from high shcool Friday and my first grand-daughter is getting christened on Saturday... Good luck to all!

I like the barkeeper's friend also but it will take a bead blasted surface to a glossier level. It kinda makes my guns look like I shoot em a lot.
