I wish I could have made it today but it was my anniversary. I'm still trying to get my wife interested in shooting but no luck, yet.

Great data, Darrell. That took some time & effort! I just got a batch of the 125s, too. I started with 4.1 gr. of TG at 1.090 COL. I didn't chrono them but the grouping was horrible with some keyholes. I backed off to 4.0 gr. and 1.125" and they were better. Looking at Darrell's data, I think I'll drop another 0.1 gr and make them a little longer. Other than that, I've had very little smoke with the TG and the bore (stock Glock) is staying very clean. They do have a funny smell, though. Kind of like a cutoff wheel for an angle grinder.

I made the mistake of showing our mom the link to get the scores. She's pretty wound up.

I just talked with Matt. Jerry's stage 3 score was an error. They have two stages left tomorrow and are probably neck and neck, again. I wish Nationals were televised!

According to the scores from last night, Matt Griffin has 815.8272 points after shooting stages 7-18. Jerry has 864.2944 points after shooting stages 7-18 and 3. And Jerry scored 54.6608 points on stage 3. ...so today should be an interesting day. That's what it looks like. Is it odd that Jerry has been scored for stage 3 when he's in the same squad as Matt, Mike, et al? Matt made a comment that the first day was a mess but I haven't had a chance to get the details.

Gotta root for my bro to win wheelgun this year.

It may take a while but keep the practice up. I had a first-shot flinch when shooting at the range that eventually went away after about 5,000 rounds. Watching for the front sight to rise is also excellent advice.

I have pretty big hands and the only time I've been slide-bitten by my 34 is when I was resting it to zero my sights.

I got a bad box of the bulk Blazer (say that five times, fast). I don't know if the lead was too soft or the coating was bad but they would heavily foul the barrel after 50 or so rounds. This happened on two different pistols.

You can also lease it long-term. This is why my inner belt is running out of usable velcro.

Mazda is coming out with a newly designed Diesel in the spring of 2012. It should have around 170 hp and 300 lb/ft of torque, along with mid 40's highway. I know it will be offered in the Mazda 3 but I'm not sure about other models. There's a good chance it will be my next car.

I break the fuzzy part of a Q-tip off and jam the paper stick down into the baseplate through the pin hole. The Q-tip stays in there and you don't have to worry about the pin popping back out. This leaves both hands free to get a good grip when sliding the plate off. When you slide the plate off (I use the edge of a piece of wood), the paper stick will easily bend or break if it gets in the way.

Sounds like a good recovery. It does get a little irritating when there are only one or two people working to reset a stage, especially on a hot summer day. I was at a match a while back and there was a dude that would come out after a stage was shot and hunt for brass instead of helping reset.
