Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Rufus, a clean 550 is always a happy one! but I had sort of the same problem. I called dillion many times they tried very hard but no help. I geuss I got lucky, I found on the bottom of the primer mag the two small bolt holes were bulged not letting the primer bar travel totaly to the rear to pick-up the next primer. A small file fixed it , 2 or 3 years now anyway. Good luck spl k
  2. jhgtyre, Thanks for the link, but how do you tell it is third generation? thanks spl k
  3. hey guys, I have been thinking about shooting production for awhile.I handled a Springfield XD at the vender tent at the fgn, thought I would try one ,but know I have a chance to buy a HS-2000.I know Spingfield bought them out, but does Spingfield build it better? or not! is there any differance at all?? Thanks spl k
  4. I to have all of those single stacks ,but the Kimber Gold Match kicks Butt!!!!!!!! and I like STI to but Kimber kicks . 5 rounds+25 yards=1inch hole!!! my 2cents thanks spl k
  5. joshua, I see you have a moral to your story, but Iwas talking about building from a factory STI short block, and otherwise reputable smith`s. so load and make ready and speak straight, all AAAA`s Beep!! thanks spl k
  6. Today I shot Chuck Bradley`s shorty 38 open gun, Boy was it nice!!! it felt light and fast!,alot faster than me. I have been looking at having a open gun built or finish building one myself from a short block. I have recently shot some local gunsmith`s full size guns, and a Brazo`s shorty. So far Chucks shorty is leading the pack. I am going to shoot a few more frends open guns but Chuck`s looks tough to beat!!!!!!!! gun to gun buck to buck I think I`m going with Chuck`s but maybe 9mm Major my 2 cents. spl k
  7. My 14 year old girl will start uspsa later this year . Mayby with a glock 34
  8. snokid, thanks for asking all the questions that I need to be asking . I am in about the same boat. Lim. really about 2 or 3 good ways to go, but open?? I geuss you could say your choices are wide open!!!
  9. me again, if the gun shot ok befor, that link is out. Maybe a taller front sight? that might be easier than cutting on the gun.
  10. I had a problem sort of like that. I had my rear sight 1or2 clicks off bottom? works fine, but I did not think should be like that. I called Para, they said it was ok, but if I whanted it moved I should return the gun to them and they would probly do something with the barrel link to correct it????? I guess there is always a right way or a patch. Witch way is right???? IS the question.
  11. wood is good! I also used a coarse stone and a little oil. mine came out great!! Im sure yours will to.
  12. I have the one befor the ice ( first gen?) on my P-16, it fits perfect almost. Just a very small amount of fitting to the bottom of the grip panels. When assembled, all work is hidden! looks great! what does Dawson say?
  13. Really great competitors, compete for money & prizes, not a pat on the back. Most great competitors already paid there own way in a sport, through hard work!now its time to get some payback. On the other hand random prizes should be for new up comming talent, to maintain intrest and build depth in the sport. I think we need both!! everyone likes to feel like a winner ,Just my 2 cents, because I am not top 10% or bottom 10% maybe I can see a little of both sides.
  14. when I drove up, I could see the range. I remember asking myself, WHAT IN THE WORLD DID GET MYSELF INTO??????? shot that first match and hooked ever since!!!!!even if I got my butt kickkedd bad!!
  15. limited, 74.662 will not see an master card like that !!
