RaylanGivens
I bought a set of the Weigand extractor tension gauges and am looking for a 4 pound analog trigger scale to use with them... The Weigand video shows an RCBS 4 pound trigger scale, but they don't seem to be for sale anymore... Does anyone have a link to one of the RCBS 4 pound trigger scales for sale? What trigger pull scale do most of you use with the Weigand extractor tension gauges?
scubajosh77
The NRA style solid weights work well. http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/measuring-tools/trigger-pull-gauges-weights/4-3-4-lb-trigger-weight-set-sku678434000-9708-24660.aspx?sku=678434000Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The roller on the end stops it from fitting in the small hole in the Weigand extractor tuning gauge... Unless Lyman makes some other kind of analog gauge,,, I don't want to cut the roller off because I mainly use the Lymasn electronice trigger pull gauge for triggers... for which it works very well... scubajosh77
You use these for the Weigand extractor gauge?Yup. Fixed weight, more accurate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Alan550
The Lyman can be made to work. Tie a small string through the hole in the Weigand gauge to make a loop that can be used to test the pull weight of the extractor gauge. broadus123
I use a lyman also. I just bend a paper clip on both ends. Put one end thru the hole and the other on the scale. I like the string idea also.
tomjerry1
10 points for broadus123, I also use a paperclip. Instead of the Weigand gauges, I use a shell, drilled a hole through the rim, inserted a paperclip which I hook to my Lymann. Works great.
AZandy
I use a Timney gauge. Runs from .5 to 10 lbs. Amazon has them for ~$30. The scale marked in 2oz. increments, so the 25-28 ounces you're looking for will be easy enough to determine. I'm a member of the paperclip club.
