Sad B Shooter
I have an M&P Pro. Is it possible to put a slide from a M&P CORE on this so I can add a red dot.

burttrans
That's good to know I am waiting for my new M&P Pro and should have it by the end of week. I would guess the slide would be pretty expensive though?
hrdstmax
replacing the slide would definitely be expensive... if you can find one. Most red dot sights can be mounted by replacing the rear sight with a dovetail red dot mount. i just recently mounted a burris fastfire 3 on my buddies m&p. mjs408
If you are looking for a slide. A guy on snipershide has M&P slides of in a few different flavors from time to time. They are bare though.
fiddler
S&W will not sell you a CORE slide. I have not been able to find one. Please post here if you do.
StealthyBlagga
I was lucky enough to pick up a 5" CORE 9mm upper half when 44mag.com had them. Now buying a complete new pistol would probably be cheaper - I saw Grab-A-Gun have the 5" CORE on sale right now for $579.
burttrans
My LGS ordered my PRO 9 for $600 and gave me $475 for a Glock 21 with night sights that I paid $425 for. $125 difference and only taxed on that amount could not pass that deal up! Sad B Shooter
As posted, my original though was to add a CORE slide or modify my Pro to take a dot. After talking to my gun shop owner, he convinced me to buy a CORE. It should arrive in a few days. I am hard to convince. It took him at least 30 seconds for me to decide to buy another gun. I think that is the thing to do; I am going to shoot my PRO for a couple of years and if I like it I will get a CORE to shoot some Open in USPSA.
