meotai
I bought this Ruger 22/45 Mark II used. I just want to know if this "crack" is normal or not. I looks like it's only on the surface, but the lines looks so irregular so i'm not sure. Thanks.
3quartertime
Those barrell/ receiver assemblies are super thick. I'd say it's a rough machined area. Been a while since I've had one of them apart. Don't remember that area well enough.
High Lord Gomer
I just went down and took mine apart to see...looks the same as yours. Now will you help me put it back together?
3quartertime
Now will you help me put it back together? I was going to offer to pull one apart too, but was hoping someone else would first!!! Good luck with the; Now rotate the butt of the gun toward the moon while pulling the trigger, when you hear hammer fall stand on one leg and quack like a duck until it's time to rotate the gun back the other way three times... :roflol:
High Lord Gomer
Like a mallard or a wood? Clockwise or counter? Anyway, since it is in pieces, here's a pic to confirm:

High Lord Gomer
Thanks! I've always had good luck following the instructions in the manual, but I still have to consult the manual each (infrequent) time.
shadetree
Thanks! I've always had good luck following the instructions in the manual, but I still have to consult the manual each (infrequent) time. I've had mine for 11 or 12 years and I still have to look at the manual when reassemleing.
m134b
That's perfectly normal... That's actually where the barrel meets the receiver. Nothing special or anything to get worried about unless it's terribly misaligned. Getting them back together seems to be the only major problem people have with'em. I've "fixed" so blasted many of them that came back in boxes... LOL Ken
jasond
+1. It appears that they screw the barrel to the receiver, then do the machining. You can't wear one of these things out. Great pistols.
