She said, "You have to care or you wouldn't be there." But then to perform at your best, you have to totally not care." Very true. Experiencing that and arriving at a clear understanding of it is a liberating experience. Forgive me if this was already mentioned but isn't that the definition of confidence? You KNOW and TRUST your abilities so you no longer worry about the "small stuff" and you turn it over to your subconscious so that you can focus on the task at hand.
