Nate
I shot a nice cow elk on opening morning here in Montana. My wifes brother killed a bull and his dad went to help him and I was left with my wife, six year old son and my 70 year old mother-in-law. I was going to quarter it and carry it out, but she says "you have a nice trail we could pull it to our fence" about 3/4 of a mile down a steep trail. At that point we can load it on a trailer and get it to the cabin. I am dubious but what the heck I will give it a try. Sure enough I rope up a harness and in less than an hour we pull it down the trail and my father-in-law is open mouthed when he pulls up to help about the time we get it to the fence. Talk about marrying into the right family

tightloop
sounds like the true pioneer spirit to me. If we had to fight off a band of indians, I'd trust her to have my back anytime...Hell of a woman.
Run n Gun
Sounds like a typical Montana woman to me. Where’re you at? I spent years living in the Missouri River Breaks country outside of Ft Benton. My Mom’s in Highwood and I have a brother and sister in Great Falls. Nate
They live in East Helena and we hunt at the cabin near Clancy. I won the lottery with my inlaws, not to mention my wife. They are fine people. Thank God I have a deer tag left so hunting season wasn't over the first day.
