My Mother-in-law

I shot a nice cow elk on opening morning here in Montana. My wifes brother killed a bull and his dad went to help him and I was left with my wife, six year old son and my 70 year old mother-in-law. I was going to quarter it and carry it out, but she says "you have a nice trail we could pull it to our fence" about 3/4 of a mile down a steep trail. At that point we can load it on a trailer and get it to the cabin. I am dubious but what the heck I will give it a try. Sure enough I rope up a harness and in less than an hour we pull it down the trail and my father-in-law is open mouthed when he pulls up to help about the time we get it to the fence. Talk about marrying into the right family :D

They live in East Helena and we hunt at the cabin near Clancy. I won the lottery with my inlaws, not to mention my wife. They are fine people. Thank God I have a deer tag left so hunting season wasn't over the first day.
