VegasOPM Posted May 25, 2009 Share Posted May 25, 2009 While it is pretty tame in comparison to the GM cards, et al- I am still happy that I had my first match shooting Open and my first overall match win today. The match was a local Steel Challenge match, with 24 shooters competing. I took first place with a combined time of 108.99 seconds, the next closest shooter was in Production at 114.10 seconds. The 2nd place in Open was 116.89 seconds. I have to admit that the club Top Guns weren't there today, but I still shot pretty consistently and won 3 of 5 stages outright, taking 2nd and 4th on the other 2. Being my first match in Open, I started off a bit more timid than I wanted to (thus the 4th place stage finish). I am still getting used to the draw, index and transitions since I went straight from a Glock in a Bladetech holster to an Open SV and a Limcat holster. I was able to get consistently faster and won the last three stages that I shot. I am thoroughly addicted to the dot now. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
