Is there a cheaper alternative to the CED target paster gun?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure you all have probably seen them before at matches:

Is there a cheaper alternative that works just as well?

Thanks!

If you buy 3 you can get a small price break. https://www.targetbarn.com/newstore2.asp?CA...SubCat=TAPEGUNS

I looked for a cheaper one never found any so I got the ced works great.

PS are you shooting this weekend?

Yeah, I think I will be shooting this Sunday at Arnold, if the weather holds. I can't really think of anything going on shooting-wise on Saturday.

It seems like the weatherman is forecasting rain for Sunday:

Maybe it will hold off long enough to get our match in.

I haven't busted a cap in a match lately, so I am about to go into withdrawls/DT's. :roflol:

Why do you ask, Bruce?

Get the good one, and you will be happy with it. One of the guys I shoot with bought the t-4000, but when he used my Delux paster he ordered one of those.

Yeah, I know the good one works, and works well too. It is especially handy in the winter time when you would normally have to use your bare hands to apply pasters by...well... by hand, getting your fingers frozen in the process.

But, hey, I am cheap, and I can't see paying $80 for a hunk of plastic, some metal, and some springs (well, maybe $80 for a Glock, but not a paster gun :P )

I had been kinda fiddling around with 3M tape guns at the hardware stores. It seems that brown plastic packaging tape makes a mighty fine paster that would seem less susceptible to water/rain once stuck to a carboard target, and more likely to stick to wet cardboard.

At like $12 for the tape gun... well, it beats the $80 paster gun pricewise.

Now, if I could just figure out a way to get it to like auto-advance or auto-feed, and rig up a mechanism to cut that plastic packaging tape, one handed, I'd really be onto something.

Didn't you read the part where his hands get cold during the winter? I don't have to worry so much down here in Texas but where's he's at, it'd be annoying trying to shoot with numb hands. Besides that, there hs to be a cheaper mousetrap out there, might not better, 80 dollars for that plastic gizmo is steep. Chillsey, you ever look at price sticker or price tag guns?

Yeah I read the part there friend. ;) But maybe you should paste the targets with your hands and then throw some hand warmers into your gloves. 80 bones can be put towards things of greater importance.

Just my opinion, but you know what they say about opinions.
