BN91205
Hello everyone, I've had this pistol for about two years now, a Para Tac-5 LDA 9mm. Had lots of fun and thankfully (knock on wood) no problems with it. I'd like to shoot Production division with it and unfortunately it is not authorized because of the factory equipped magwell. Before I try to sell it to pick up something that is on the approved list, I have a question: If I remove the magwell, will it at this point be legal or is that just a gray area I don't even want to mess with. Anyone out there using the Tac-5 with the magwell removed in Production? I've nailed down a replacement if there's nothing I can do about it, a CZ75 SP-01. I just like the 1911 platform and got used to the LDA. What am I to do? Thanks a bunch, Brian

JakeMartens
don't ask us. Ask USPSA. I think that what was trying to be said was that contacting John Amidon would be the best way to find an answer to your question vp@uspsa.org Good luck, and if you have to switch the SP01 can be set up to be a real sweet gun for Production
Gary Stevens
Just my opinion, but I think this is the same as a version of one of th HK pistols. With the removeable mag well it was not allowed. Without the mag well it was OK. But as has been stated before, sending an e-mail to NROI would be a good thing. I'm just gonna sell it and pick up the CZ, don't need to deal with any controversy. Thanks again!!
