babob
I have a G34 that currently has a Trijicon rear sight installed. I plan to replace it with a Warren Tact. rear sight. My question is, in which direction should the Trijicon sight be removed....pulled out to the right of the slide or pushed out to the left? I have the $90 MGI tool for this task and used it to install the Trijicon sight last year.
HoMiE
I don't think it matters with a glock. I have done it both ways with no adverse affects. I usually take it off left to right and put them back on right to left.
ede
it depends if you're right handed or left handed, whatever works for you.
LPatterson
The guy on "Rocking your Glock" said out left to right in right to left just like the pins.
JML A6
The guy on "Rocking your Glock" said out left to right in right to left just like the pins. I drifted my Novaks in right to left as this was the was the sight put up the least resistance.
JoshF
Glocks don't have a taper on the rear sight cut. However I think manufacturers put a taper on the sight itself so you might contact them before removing the old one and follow the directions for the new one. babob
I finally found the sight tool instructions and I have the MGW not MGI sight tool. Model 309. Instructions for Glocks: Removal = PUSH from LEFT to RIGHT Install = Pull from RIGHT to LEFT The Warren Tacts. should show up in the mail today... I hope. Thanks for the replies. racerba
Instructions for Glocks:Removal = PUSH from LEFT to RIGHT Install = Pull from RIGHT to LEFT Interesting. I wondered if it really makes a difference. I don't have a tool, so I remove from left to right, and I also install from left to right.
Jman
I mailed my slide to Chris Patty. Owner of CPWSA a forum sponsor. He installed the Sevigny sights I wanted on my G17 and mailed it back. All for under a hundred. One of my better buying decisions. Jim
