zhunter Posted November 7, 2008 Share Posted November 7, 2008 Today was my 12 year old son's first day at the range shooting. He was shooting a 1911 with a STI .22 conversion top-end. I had him shooting a 20" square plate at 10 yards. He was about 95% with his hits. He had a blast. Here is his first shot timer results, taken from my new SureFire iPhone timer. Shot # Elapsed Time Split Time 1 3.98 3.98 2 5.52 1.55 3 6.85 1.32 4 8.33 1.48 5 9.87 1.54 6 11.34 1.47 7 12.64 1.30 8 14.00 1.36 9 15.23 1.24 10 16.54 1.31 As the day went on he got more comfortable and his splits were in the .60 range.
