mscott
I'm looking at the Arredondo rib mount and the J.P. glue on mount for an 1100. Has anyone here used the Arredondo? It looks like I'd have to drill and tap for one or cut the rib for the other, so it's not like one is a bunch easier to install. I'm leaning toward the J.P. to keep the sight as low as possible. On another line of thinking, is there really an advantage to having a dot mounted on your shotgun? http://www.arredondoaccessories.com/catego...hn&GID=JDSM http://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPA-SG
Chris Keen
I used the JP glue on mount and it was easy to install, and has not been a problem since. But you're right in that I hardly ever use it. I generally just put the bead on the target and pull. The dot is just there to confirm my sight on the bead. Sort of like a Fiber-Optic.
outerlimits
arredondo mount is easy to install, and will not come off-trade off is it's higher than the JP. having had the JP fly off, even with the blackmax epoxy, i went to the arredondo. just get a couple cheek pads fer yer stock and it's cool. patrickbeijer
on my 18,5 inch barrel i have the JP mount gleud and it works good . It is nice and low. I wanted the arradondo mount on my new 24 inch barrel ,i cutted the front piece off and put it with one screw and black loctite on the lower part off the rib of my benelli M1 , it is almost as low as the JP mount now
uscbigdawg
Patience. We're working on it still. Just trying to engineer a better way around the varying rib widths out there. Basically, a rib mounted mount for the JPoint, Fastfire and Docter in one package. The only prototype is on my Benelli. Rich
