Rolex
Any one know what the numbers are stamped on the top of the glock mag! I have some with #5 and others #6. Also will these #'s affect the DP ext. mag base pads I have on backorder- RE: some say the #'s affect the round count!
LarryP
I checked all 24 of my Glock mags and dont see any numbers. All of my mags are genuine Glock (3rd & 4th generation.) I looked in Ptoomas Complete Glock reference Guide and there is nothing mentioned about those numbers. Could be a new generation (5th)?
chp5
Are you talking about the follower? If so, the latest # is 8.

There shouldn't be any problems. The numbers refer to the magazine follower generation.
chp5
Are you talking about the follower? If so, the latest # is 8. Yes I have 5&6- any idea if these are a problem with the Dawson ext. base pads! If it's not broken, then no fix is needed.
Rolex
Are you talking about the follower? If so, the latest # is 8. Where can I find the newer #8 mag followers. My #5 donot drop free from G35. First the springs are shorter than new mags and the lop left of follower dont hit and push up the slide stop-Just so you know these are old "LE" mags, made just after the hi-cap ban started! Flexmoney
You will need new mags, I believe. The mag bodies that go with the #5 followers probably won't work well with the #8 followers. Have you tried different mags in the gun? Sometimes the frame is tight and that keeps mags from dropping.
