apriav
OK.....this has been hashed out several times....but now I want one. I am looking for a scope for my AR22/10-22 for practice in the 1x4 range. My JP has an $1000 of glass on it and can't justify another 1K for a 22. What is the most bang for the buck for a cheap practice rifle?
warpspeed
I'd look at a high quality set of quick release rings / mount for your existing scope so it can go between. One of the advantages of having a AR 10/22 is for practice and I'd think that the same scope would be the best practice. What is the optic ? TRUBL
Hey....the good news is that you can go with a 'rimfire' scope and they can be MUCH less expensive. You may not get the exact same field of view. I've even checked some el cheapo BSA air rifle scopes as they are supposed to be a little stronger built to handle the 'wierd' recoil of air rifles Tim

M ammo
look at some shotgun scopes. you can find them 1.5 X4.5 in the $50 range. It works well with my 10/22 training set up. Jim M ammo
Religious Shooter
What scope do you have on your real rifle? I'm currently using a Millet DMS-1 on my 10/22 trainer. $200 new. I see a lot of them on sale used.
